Good buy? HELL NO. ibuypower is overpriced (imo), and they currently offer something MUCH better than that. Go to their website ibuypower.com and just look at their preconfigured laptops.

I currently have the Gigabyte P67 UD3 and wanted something where my coolermaster 212 wouldn't make it impossible for me to access two of my RAM slots. And, more importantly, could possibly provide a more stable overclock with more constant voltage or something? I currently have a 4.5 Ghz overclock on my Gigabyte P67 UD3 with my i5 2500k. Am I being stupid for trying to get a "better" mobo the 2nd time around? Additional Info: 1) I don't really plan on using more than 1 graphics card ever 2) Have a SSD that uses 6 GB/s 3) Not power supply limited, have a 1000W power supply.

Well it comes down to whether you want SLI or not. The GD55 supports it while the P8P67 does not. @ensign_lee I'm pretty sure you can't upgrade your motherboard through the RMA process (at least MSI and ASUS isn't allowing it, not sure about Gigabyte). All the H67 and P67 boards suffer from the problem of the A1 DIMM slot being blocked by a tower heatsink.

And seriously? All P67 boards suffer from the problem of the A1 DIMM slot being blocked by a tower heatsink? So I have to take apart my computer anytime I want to access that DIMM slot? That sucks! Link? I haven't read that anywhere. Also, any recommendations as far as a mobo for superior overclocking ability, like better power delivery to the CPU or anything like that? I was looking at the ASUS P8P67 Pro at about $190 or so.

My spreadsheet would probably be the easiest to view: Anjuu's Comp Spreadsheet But here's a list of the models: + Show Spoiler + Function Model CPU I5-2500K Mobo P8P67 PRO RAM "CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 " GPU NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 460 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express PSU CORSAIR CMPSU-750HX 750W RT Case NZXT LEXA-NP Black/ Silver Sound Card Razer AC-1 SSD (SATA) Intel X25-M 80Gb HDD (SATA) WD20EARS 2TB Extra Fan COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible Intel Core i5 & Intel Core i7 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065 I think the only last decisions I have to make are where to shop and about the RAM, the RAM I want is backordered on NewEgg so I may upgrade to the lower latency version.

Lol the ram block problem that's only a problem when buying certian heatsinks or if your ram has one of those crazy cooling on it that makes it twice as tall. Alot of boards suffer form certain heatsinks blocking ram. It has more to do with ATX standard and how some heatsinks are then just a sandy bridge issue.

Then again I don't have oversized ram, and it IS a tight fit. *edit* with a p55 board

Anyway, this is what I have worked out so far: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=21862888 I just need the motherboard, and let me tell you, I'm clueless on this part. I heard that SC2 is really heavy on the processor which is why that part is the beefiest while the others aren't so top-of-the-line. Although I think I might need better RAM? If you have any suggestions for a motherboard or maybe replace any specific part with an alternative (I'd like to stay around that price range though, and hopefully <$150 for mobo.)

This depends on what you have in mind for the computer. You could probably save money and downgrade the ram to 1333mhz and downgrade the power supply to 600w or even 500w if you have no intention of doing SLI in the future. @Najda You probably want a low-end board such as the Gigabyte UD3, ASUS P8P67-M, or MSI C45. Just use this to help you decide which board has the necessary connectors and features that will suit your needs: http://www.overclock.net/intel-motherboards/916189-official-intel-p67-sandy-bridge-motherboard.html Are you going to be overclocking? If not, get the core i5 2500 instead because the only difference between the standard and the K is an unlocked multiplier (used for overclocking) and beefier integrated graphics. If you're going to be playing at 1920x1080, I'd also suggest getting a 6850 instead. $180 ($170 after promotional gift card, $150 after mail in rebate) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150505
