I mean to go with my SSD, which is my OS/most played game drive.

It's the "wtf Corsair CX quality is too expensive, so let's cut even more corners and find as many reasonable cost-cutting measures as well can" build. Modern-day Corsair CX and some of the 80-plus NAXN are CWT DSA / DSA II, btw, which is also considered a budget design, but of course higher than this stuff. It's nowhere close to firecracker tier, and it would do in a pinch. But it's a cheapy for sure.

If you want to upgrade from a 570 to a single gpu card, you're getting either a 660Ti, 670 or a 680. 660Ti is only marginally an upgrade for some games, and a side-grade for others. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/518?vs=647 As usual, resolution and desired quality settings will play a part, and if you actually have a problem (or think you do) with a 570, I don't think a 660Ti is going to be a significant improvement for a lot of things.

Lifetime warranty, overclock covered, and most basic mods don't void it. You can tell them you popped it open to re-paste it, hell, you can have an aftermarket cooler on it. Just swap back to the stock cooler and put it together again before you mail it to them, and they don't care. If you're concerned about pure price/performance with no other considerations, the premium may not be worth it, but if you value the best consumer level support on the planet, it tends to be a good value. Now, the warranty is even transferrable on some lines.

It took me a pretty long time to get my rig to work, but then again i guess its partly my own fault for not upgrading bios, etc. I've gone with evga since gtx 200 series and I really don't mind sticking with them still. I guess I'm wondering if im going from the 570 to 670 if there will be a significant difference i guess/if its actually worth the price since the 670 FTW is ~$400. btw thanks for helping out jinglehell. I appreciate it. The anand benchmarks will give you a rough basis for comparison, you can cross reference that to specific benchies of games and individual factory OCs to get a more specific idea. Oh, and I wouldn't use the forums for support with EVGA. Call them. I've never stayed on hold for a significant chunk of time, even at midnight on a holiday (no exaggeration, I think I blogged about it at the end of 2011.) The forums are great and have their place, but for immediate issues, the phone is ideal. If there actually is a queue, just leave your number and have them call you back, it's usually within 5-10 minutes and your problem will be on it's way to solved quickly.

EVGA 670 FTW http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130824 EVGA 670 SC http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130785 Seems like the ftw has higher clock speeds and they both have different fans? Is there something else I am missing? Also, I wonder which one is more preferable..?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133469 Truthfully though, there is no reason to buy anything more than a 7870.

CPU: Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition $100 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727 GPU: Sapphire HD7770 $120 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202011 MOBO: ASRock 970 Extrem3 $85 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157280 PSU: Rosewill 450W 80 PLUS GOLD $60 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182066 I have an HDD, and 2x 2GB DDR3 1333 RAM. I might want buy a case, though. Problem is, w/ tax and shipping, I come out to ~$395. I can do rebates and save probably $10-$20. I live near a Fry's Electronics (and have a friend working there too), so if there's cheaper there, I'll buy at Fry's. I could also downgrade to a 955 and/or HD7750. Oh, and is the MOBO compatible w/ the GPU? I think the MOBO has a 2.0 x16 but the GPU is 3.0 x16. I'm having difficulty finding a 3.0 x16 Motherboard. EDIT: Streaming and/or recording are not necessary; I'm just wondering if this build has the ability to do so.

I would focus on playability. Something like a pentium G630 with a B75 board, HD7850 1GB. Later on ditch the G630 and get an i5-3450/3470/3550/3570 if you want to stream. Around $350. HD7770 vs HD7850 Comparison 7850 is ~50-90% more powerful than the 7770. And in the case of SC2 100% more powerful.

Feel pretty stupid that I bought my 560ti like 6 months ago >_<. Maybe I can sell it for like 100 to get some back for a new card What resolution do you play with? 1920x1080? And what FPS do you consider acceptable? 30? 60? 120? Is there a budget-limit? There are plenty of GPUs available that will outperform a 560 Ti, but they range from cheap, minor upgrades to the top-end models. A starting point in your search could be the 660 Ti, which performs quite a bit better than your current 560 Ti as you can see in this comparison: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/547?vs=647 Whether this increase in performance is sufficient for your needs, I can't say.
