Hey guys, need a little advice on by build! :D (btw im really new to building comps)

So far I've got

CPU: Intel i7 2500k or i7 2600k (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072)
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070) any suggestions on which to pick

GPU: either 2 GTX570s or 1 GTX 590

Motherboard : not sure (please suggest good ones)

RAM: Corsair 8g (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145345) or 16g (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233288)

PSU: Corsair 750w PSU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139021)

HDD: havent picked yet. Was wondering whether to go for a SSD HDD combo or just for a HDD.

Case: Cooler Master HAF (dont remember name excacltly but its full tower and should fit everything in)

I will also buy CPU cooler but i havent decided on it yet. Basically by goal here is to build a powerful gaming comp that would be able to run the higher up games that are out there today on semi-highest setting without having too much problem running them. My budget is like 1500 eurs( ~1900dollars? )

Any input would help alot and please pm with suggestions on how to improve the build

You want to run on semi-highest settings? Not absolutely maxed? An i7 has no benefit over an i5 for pure gaming, and unless you want to completely max AA/AF, you're talking WAY more GPU than you need. Unless you're above 1080p, that is.

What is your budget?

About $1,500, I would prefer to spend less

What is your resolution?

I will be using two monitors with 1680x1050 resolution

What are you using it for?

Its mostly for gaming movies and music

What is your upgrade cycle?

More likely 4+ years

When do you plan on building it?

As soon as I can. Summer just begun for me :D

Do you plan on overclocking?

Most likely not because I dont have enough knowledge on overclocking just yet.

Do you need an Operating System?

Nope, most likely use a crack copy or something

Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire?

Probably will, with the budget that I have

Where are you buying your parts from?

I will most likely buy them online from Newegg. If there are any other sites that are cheap, please let me know

Thanks for your help!

1 budget. I'm looking to spend as little as possible, hopefully not going over 500 USD.

3 purpose. Sc 2 and i guess lol are really the only games I play a lot (occasionally and some older games) . Other than that, just general use stuff (music etc)

you can save some money then by not getting the "K" version. If your going to add another GPU then just get a gtx 680, it outpeforms the 570's in sli.

Yes that is a good cpu for streaming. If your friend is set on a cheap streaming build, then that coupled with the above build would be ideal.

Quick question: whats a good, reliable PSU for an i5 2500 + gtx 670 system? The i5 isn't overclocked, the 670 might be stock or factory OCed.

What do you think about my build?
First time ever building a PC

$1,165.41 without tax and delivery from Newegg.ca

Processor: AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz
Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s
Graphic Card: GIGABYTE GV-R795WF3-3GD Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-bit GDDR5
Hard drive: HGST Deskstar 7K1000.C 0F10383 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s
Monitor: ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor
Ram: G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3
Power supply: Rosewill Green Series RG530-S12 530W
Case: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (5 fans)

I went with AMD processor over intel friend told me cheaper and enough to play sc2 diablo3 and dota2 on highest setting.

I was wondering if i need a fan in order to be able to play and stream. (I have good internet up and down)

Any input would be great :D

Hey guys. I'm looking to order my parts soon, and this is the gaming build I've come up with. I'm trying to keep it under $1000. I know very little about what I'm doing here, so if you guys could help me out it'd be appreciated ^^

Yeah amd is cheaper but shittier, your choice. 10-20 bucks more you'll get intel with a lot more performance

What is your budget?
Around $1000 USD

What is your resolution?
ATM 1600x900 probably going to change eventually.

What are you using it for?
Gaming, school stuff, maybe some streaming

What is your upgrade cycle?
A long time from now.

When do you plan on building it?
Within the next month or even 2 weeks

Do you plan on overclocking?
No, maybe in the future

Do you need an Operating System?
Yes, probably going to get windows 64bit home

Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire?
no

Where are you buying your parts from?
Microcenter, frys, newegg, amazon

I have no experience building a computer but I hope have been reading and watching a lot of things and trying to learn stuff but still confused :l. So far, I've done a bit of looking around and have come up with this build...
CPU- i5 3570k
http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Core-3570K-Processor-BX80637I53570K/dp/B007SZ0E1K/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1339047023&sr=1-1

Motherboard - No clue really what I'm doing with this but found this motherboard
ASUS P8Z77-V LK
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131837&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Motherboards - Intel-_-ASUS-_-13131837

Ram- Can anyone tell me the difference between the two listings? They seem to be the same ram but different pictures
8 GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz Ripjaw Series
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00339X1EM?ie=UTF8&tag=cursegaming0f-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00339X1EM

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428

GPU-MSI N560GTX-Ti 448 Twin Frozer III PE/OC - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (448 Cores)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006FCCOII?ie=UTF8&tag=cursegaming0f-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B006FCCOII

I honestly am not sure if I want to spend this much for my GPU but I probably will get
GIGABYTE GV-N560OC-1GI GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125363
if it's sufficient for playing games and streaming

PSU - CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 650W ATX12V v2.31/ EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020

Case- Cooler Master HAF 912
http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Tower-Case-RC-912-KKN1/dp/B003ZM7YTA/ref=sr_1_sc_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1339048396&sr=1-1-spell

Can anyone please look these over for me :D If there is anything I am missing please tell me. I don't need a harddrive or diskdrive and already decided on my OS and not looking for a heatsink right now.

Hihi

Just a quick repost, trying to get answers to these questions

Hi guys,

Following your multiple pieces of advice, i think i'm pretty much finished with selecting the components of my build. Just posting this for a last check:
+ Show Spoiler +
[image loading]

(yeah i forgot to take a cd/dvd burner, but i was too lazy to reload the image)

So here are my four last questions

-Is everything fitting alright together?
-I'm somewhat worried with the mobo choice, given i see Z77 everywhere. I was though told that the B75Pro3 was one worthy choice if i werent going to OC or anything crazy
-I don't find any GTX460 on the EU online stores. Either tell me where i can find one (save for one 200€ GPU i saw on alternate.nl i think), either tell me if my choice of getting a GTX550 is the right one, either convince me to spend an extra bit for the GTX560, given that im not really graphics oriented (running on med ftm, principally worried about getting everything as smooth as possible)
-I'm planning on building this after my finals, so it will be on like july the first or something like that, will there be some new crazy stuff (i mean that will concern my build) out till then?

Thank you and sorry for bad english

Thank you very much!
