Generally poof issues are caused by a defective or busted PSU. But can also be caused by shorts on the board, but since it sounds like your computer shuts down when you apply the gas, I am thinking its the PSU unless your graphics card is also contributing somehow. I would try maybe swapping in and out a friends PSU, or GPU, if possible.

I realized that it happens only for Crysis 2, when I run SC2, Skyrim or Crysis 1, my comp is fine, so I'm guessing it's the game

A lot of people think a lot of them cause a lot of BSODs. Edit: Should probably say SATA3

You can't generalize just by brand, that's misinformation. I've read that the 670 will be unavailable until early july if you do not get it now at the initial shipping... I hope this is not the case agh.

I really don't want to take it off because I'm not good at remembering all the cords. All modern good coolers require backplates, so yeah, you'll have to take the motherboard out if your chassis doesn't have an opening for the backplate.

I'm buying a laptop for college. I usually hate buying from Best Buy, but I strolled by and I actually saw some stuff I liked and most specifically this one laptop caught my eye. It's some Samsung laptop, here are the specs if I recall right: 13 or 14 inch screen i7 something ATI 6490M(?) 8GB RAM 1TB HDD 8-9 hour battery life for $999 It seems like a good deal, but I'm completely lost on laptops and worth and all that.

The main improvement in games is loading levels, maps, startup etc... Anything that requires a fast access to the harddrive. It generally does not impact FPS or the actual gameplay. Don't remember how long the loading times in EVE were, but SSDs can be about 20 times faster in things like that.
