I think he linked incorrectly. I'm sure he was referring to this http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=137554 If you read the original post and follow the guidelines, someone would be happy to help you construct your own desktop PC.

Isit more than enough or just suitable for SC2 played at the high+ graphic? Or would you recommend an Alienware M15x? http://www1.ap.dell.com/my/en/home/notebooks/alienware-m15x/pd.aspx?refid=alienware-m15x&s=dhs&cs=mydhs1&~ck=mn

You will be playing around low-medium only because of the graphics card. If the graphics was somewhere around 57** or 330m The M15x is overpriced. Is dell the only thing you can buy? There are other brands that are good too. Look at this. This shows the graphics cards for laptops and what games they can play. Green = ~25 fps or more.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 which is 2.66GHz overcloaked at 3.2GHz 4GB Geil Ram @ 1066 MHz ATi Radeon 5870 1GB Win 7 64bit and I am running sc2 with everything at ultra with Vsync on at 40-60 fps. Now I got a question should I go buy a better CPU? i was thinking of a Quad Core 9xxx cause my mobo is an ASUS p5k and doesnt support latest CPUs like i5 i7's etc.

Currently I have C2D E4300 1.8Ghz (somehow can't OC) Gigabyte 945P-S3 (old PCI Express right?) 1GB Ram @ 667 MHz GF 7600GS 128Mb PCIE Win XP Pro playing on low ofc 1024x768, big battles = fps << 25, loading takes quite some time (also when the game starts it's like a temporal lag), sometimes spikes during a game - I hope it's mostly ram not the CPU. I'd like to upgrade it a little bit - only add ram & change GPU. I'd like to spend as little as possible but if its worth adding a little bit then ok,. PC for SC2 only, up to 1280x1024 resolution. Take notice of my mobo since it's old and if some PCIE 2.0 cards won't work then I can't buy them. What I care about - smooth play, that is never below < 30 fps, 2v2 a must, 3v3 & UMS if possible. What I don't care about - details, effects, quality. But if achieving medium quality will take only a few bucks more I'm in. What do you guys suggest ? GF GT240 DDR5/Ati HD4670 or something else (worse/better) ? 1GB ram will be enough or should I buy 2GB ?

You'll need to upgrade your mobo, which means upgrading your CPU, if you want to get decent RAM and a decent video card. Basically, you'll be building a new computer. Oh, you upset me a lot :/ But, really, won't buying some good gpu & ram change anything ? I dont expect high settings. Is playing smoothly on low really that unachievable w/o buying a whole new pc ?

That said, ffs is pretty well set with the rest of his components, so if he wants the highest IPC of the Core2 generation, the Yorkfield is the final stop.

Basically everything in SC2 runs on the lowest settings and lots of slow down on big games, crazy loading times... I was thinking of just getting a new pc just for SC2 but I really don't know what my options are, any recomendations?

Maybe just add in a stick or two? Most likely that's why you get such slowdowns and long loading times. Also you didn't specify the graphics card...

I play sc2 on the absolute lowest settings possible. AMD Athlon X2 QL-62(2.0GHz) 4GB DDR2 NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512MB DDR3 According to op, cpu should play ok at medium and others have mentioned they can play on the 9600m gt at ultra (doubt it).
