Well, that's what I thought.
Sorry I missed whatever Karune said.
No one else thinks SC2 beta registration is just a LITTLE out of place on worldofwarcraft.com? Starcraft 2: Wrath of the Lich King, here we come.
It made sense that their last beta registration was on the WoW: lich king website, because the last beta test was, well, WoW, wrath of the lich king... which is actually appropriate. But now the test is for a completely different game, yet the registration is still on Lich King's website. Maybe they'll move SC2 beta somewhere else later.
I'll just shrug it off as laziness. Ok going to go sign up for a beta test that I assume is SC2, on a WoW lich king website.
Thanks for the response.

Actually it makes a lot of sense, WoW has proven itself to be able to handle tons of people, so Blizzard knows it'll be able to handle the beta signups for SC2 and D3. Also since so many millions of people actively play WoW this would be like free advertisement for SC2 and D3.

Because TL is more about SC in general whereas the sites with the countdown all are exclusively about SC2.

Obvious troll is obvious, going to just delete to not confuse anyone.

Yeah that's one way to look at it.
I'm not sure how good of an advertisement for SC2 this is, considering it doesn't mention what game the test is for anywhere on the site. I don't think it's accessible from anywhere else on worldofwarcraft.com. It's just a redirect from blizzcon.com/beta. You'd have to type blizzcon.com/beta to find it. Pretty hard to find for an advertisement, and again, once you get there it doesn't even tell you what game you're signing up for, but hints with the form theme, background pictures, and host website that it is WoW related.
Now... the keys for SC2 beta being given out on the same card as a polar bear mount, I can see that as advertising. SC2 players are stuck with a WoW mount, and WoW players are stuck with an SC2 beta key.

i hope tl won't supress threads about this kinda activity. i played war3 beta and tft beta on private servers and the community that evolved there hold on for over a year.

Sorry, but we can't do that - just as we don't allow other illegal content.

but as always, i do understand. it's not about the legality, but about not upsetting some persons. what i DO NOT understand is that you do push legal reasons instead of just telling that we are not allowed to talk about this stuff because of forum policy.

I'm not that knowledgable of these things, I thought it would fall under the same category (I checked with an other admin to make sure actually, he basically said it fell into the same category, ie things we don't allow ).
But of course, as you say, even if it is legal it's not a good idea for us to support this as Blizzard wouldn't be very happy.
Sort of like how we didn't allow any links to ebay auctions for beta-keys etc.
