I can't see any of the korean leagues agreeing to add in random lag spikes and disconnects to televised games... ![]() Yea, that would suck major arse. I don't see why it's so necessary for LAN to be removed. They are seriously changing things too much

Nonetheless not having LAN support would still screw over a lot of the people doing smaller LAN parties without proper internet access if BNet2.0 really doesn't include any kind of offline mode. I'd imagine if Battle.net is ever going to go down Blizzard would release a patch for offline support like Valve promised for Steam if it was ever going to shut down. Also I guess that day will be far far away and we'll have few 3rd party BNet2.0 servers by then.

World of Warcraft.... lol then again, it would seem like something would be lacking to have an rts without a lan feature.... hmmmmm

There are arena tournaments, which until now I never thought about them taking place on the Blizzard servers but I guess they do. Lag does matter in arena matches, so would random disconnects.

I think the difference is WoW was most likely not designed with esports in mind.

I mean I suppose you could get a router with a whole bunch of ports on it or a wireless one (yeah right) but there'd kinda be major issues with lag... this would be a shitty decision in my opinion. it would be pretty much impossible to have a few friends over to play SC.
