What matters is what's most comfortable to you and how the mouse feels in-game to you. My DPI/Sens is low because I used to play FPS mainly and I was used to big sweeping motions for flick shots etc. which is probably not like most RTS players.

It depends of your mouse, your screen, your game, the power of your wrist. I don't think if you use Clem's DPI you will have his microgestion. however, as I am a Logitech G203 user too, I think the best DPI for a sc2 player is about 600~800 for this mouse of 85gr, but as I wrote it is very personnal.

I guess I'm wondering what a good general dpi range is for this resolution. on your right hand, put the bottom right corner of your hand on your desk. that stays stationary on the desk; your hand pivots on that point. your hand / fingers move the mouse, not your arm. keeping the corner of your hand stationary, if you rotate your hand as far as possible to toward the left (well not weirdly far. like comfortably far to the left), call that 100% to the left, and max rotation to the right, call that 100% right, then you should be able to go from one side of your monitor to the other by staying within only 50% left and 50% right. that should be a range of motion that is very comfortable. if you try to control the mouse at the edge of your range of motion, you'll lose accuracy. so it's best to have your sensitivity set so that you can use the whole screen without putting your hand in a weird position, and 99% of your gameplay is done while keeping your hand in a position that has the most power and accuracy for up and down, that's done more by extending your fingers. luckily we play on wide screens so there's less distance to cover up and down than left and right. but again your mouse should be sensitive enough so that you don't have to extend to uncomfortable lengths in order to reach the top and the bottom. if you feel like you can master even greater sensitivity with accuracy then you can try it. some RTS players have done it. ignore that guy trying to justify playing on FPS settings... yes some players have found acceptable performance with exceptional set ups. it's not a reason to give that out as general advice. im sure some self-taught piano players have become extremely good players with very poor posture. it doesnt change how posture is taught on the piano. starcraft is no different

I've never thought of it that way. I'm going to go test some different dpi settings and try to find the best one for me. Thanks a lot! Thank you to the other guys also. This is all good stuff to consider. These forums are pretty nice ![]()
