Out of all my suggestions I agree, this one is the best and I DEMAND it be implemented. also from the other AMM thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?currentpage=1&topic_id=53599 AMM is good but lacking a few features in War3: 1) Ability to rematch (via thumbs up/down after score screen). 2) Ability to play against anyone for ladder points without the AMM choosing for you (if both agree). Of course with both of these suggestions there will be a limit to how many times any 2 players can play each other. And for the second option both players must be within a close enough ladder rating/rank to play each other (to help eliminate abuse). ----- I've always offered a rematch to anyone I've beaten, But If I lose I don't always ask for a rematch. I think its bad manner to not offer it when you win. Another thing wrong with the AMM is that once you get passed a certain level of skill it starts to become really hard to find games. I think that you should be able to search for a game while doing many other tasks such as playing in a UMS/Melee game. And when the system matches you up you should be able to chat with the player. I also agree with the slow graphical interface in WAR3 bnet. That was one of the first things that turned me off about that game. ---- PS- I think there should also be a melee game type (with separate stats record) as well as UMS game type (no stats record). Don't know why they took this out in War3.

It would take away the disadvantage of not knowing a map and encourage people to play more than the same standard maps. This would have been awesome in original SC. ...Don't we have that in SC as it is? Map Preview?? Do You mean like the game is first paused, the map revealed, then the units/buildlings are placed?

map is revealed, meaning all features of the terrain and anything visible on the map is shown but this is all in a very dark color once you yourself go and scout an area, that area will forever be in a brighter color(like the same as in starcraft after you explore an area) and is considered Explored. (meaning you can now build buildings in it, before revealing it it would say 'you must explore this terrain first') it's a good feature edit: i took a screenshot to show exactly what I mean: ![]() see there are 3 levels of vision here..the very right dark area is how the map starts out, the lighter area to the left means I had explored it myself, and obviously the bright is currently visible also as you can see the minimap also shows the map layout too, and I have scouted the 6 oclock location (and the enemy's base)

Theres already a little abuse in the WC3 system with people leveling accts and giving free wins to get to the ladder tournament finals, this will make it 10x worse.

This way when you're scouting and playing you'll know the layout of the map. Mini-map already work in that way. At least in the demonstration... We're sorting out PR responsibilities and practices, so I won't be able to post until those things are figured out. As others have mentioned, though, Blizzard has individuals which actively visit many mainstream forums. Blizzard does indeed listen and make note of feedback from the community, even if they aren't always vocal about their presence. -Chris
