I wouldn't mind getting back into it tho cause it's a fun game. I'm pretty bad tho =] PM me your msn or something.

In BW this is one of my personal favorite features and I've spent a lot of time with my friends or clan mates watching replays and just chilling around as oppose to playing. I think this was one of the reasons I never could really get into War 3. Hopefully SC2 can avoid this? this + the stupid chains(animation screen) pisses me off so much in war3.

Bottom line is I don't want this game too suck like war 3 did. Thoughts ? Ideas? Everyone thinks they are an armchair developer with the best ideas. That is what I think. There are other threads to discuss wild speculation or just bitch about what you wish Blizzard would do with SC2 that they aren't doing.

When I just got onto the SC ladder scene from my 3v3 melee days, I remember a young -pre-korea Pillars sitting in a certain ladder channel. Every one was badmouthing Koreans and hating the influx of Korean players in the channel. (imagine a time before Koreans got onto the scene). I remember this one dissenting voice saying (paraphrased) "Koreans aren't so bad; more players actual contribute to Starcraft." And I remember every one disagreeing with that person. That person was you. Kudos. visionary back then as well.. You roxorz. <3

Even Blizzard allows customization of the WoW interface via Lua. I'm not very optimistic though given Blizzard's increasingly user-hostile "if it ain't blizzard's, it's a cheat" policy on b.net. :-

* How can Banelings, which are effective against small and large land units (Zealot and Colossus) be balanced? * How will the Mothership fit in considering that SC is a game where bases are transient and multiple battles are often fought simultaneously? This isn't Warcraft 3 where you have one huge battle and its GG. Also it seems like the Mothership is going to get fried almost immediately by scourge. * Does the Colossus replace the role of the Archon (small unit killer) or the Carrier (high tech superunit)? What I am really getting at here, is which one is more likely to get cut? Also, make sure to tell Blizzard that the siege tank model sucks.

Maybe its just me. ********************************************************************************************* Well I guess I might as well ask a question/ make a suggestion or to about Starcraft:2 (If any of these have been answered or asked yet just ignore them. I didn't feel like reading another 9 pages of this topic...) 1. Will the supply max still be set at 200? 2. Will workers still stack in mineral patches? (I haven't seen any live playing footage so I don't know if this has been covered) 3. If we bitch enough about the Siege Tanks design enough, will Blizzard remodel it? (The design is so horrid...) 4. Starcraft shouldn't have an "Autocast" feature like wc3 did... It takes micro away from the game. Sure it may be convenient, but it seems to easy. Skill should be involved when it comes to spell micro. Not automation. 5. Will upgrades still be kept the same ie; 3 max? 6. Will damage still be kept at one solid digit (xx). Unlike wc3 which has a (xx-xx) damage system.

1) Yes 2) Yes This implies, that they won't change it later on, but I at least highly doubt they would change 2) which would mean tremendous changes in pathfinding. 3) Standard Blizzard employee answer: "Matching the community's expectations is one of our biggest aims. Therefore we will definitely take players' suggestions into account." For 4) to 6) I don't really know about 5), but from recent interviews they are trying to make sc2 a perfect sequel to bw and not wc3, so I'm quite sure we won't see lots of autocast features in sc2 (probably a few, the medic had autocast as well). Also they are trying to make sc2 truely competitive so they might want to have the amount of luck in a game as low as possible which means solid digit damage. Once again, I'm not a blizzard employee and all I said might turn out to be bullshit, but most likely I'm right ![]()

We can't "ask" for much info, because that could get him in trouble, but I'm sure, if he can leaks or tells us something, he will. Huge thanks to Pillars!.

NEW RACE MAYBE OMGSH!!!!!!!!! Warcraft 3's failure? Have you lived under a rock or something? Warcraft 3 is one of the best selling games of all time o.O Personally I think the animations in warcraft 3's battle.net are kinda cool. They should have a toggle though so you can turn them off when you're tired of them.

One thing i'd like to know: How does blizz interact with the online communities? Do developers have time to browse forums like these (i'm a programmer myself, and i usually spend an hour a day on community stuff, helping others but also asking questions)? How much do forum opinions affect decision-making? How are decisions made internally when people have different opinions? Good luck, and take as much time as you need! Also, thansk for not being able to not talk about important stuff but still answering questions.
