I plan to eventually go to Seoul and experience watching a live Korean Starcraft event, and this event looks to be an amazing one. However, it seems a bit too rushed for me and also I'm already out of cash for all the living expenses this month . The only desperate solution I have is to draw out the emergency cash from my country bank (with large fees) but that would mean I would be spending way more than what I budgeted for my stay here in Korea. Arghh the dilemma !! You gotta work StarCraft in your budget if you're in Korea haha

Arghh the dilemma !! Money is material, renewable. Time and experiences are fleeting, ephemeral, and should be grasped with a quick and iron hand when you can. Go see Brood War. Don't let this opportunity pass you by. Do it for those of us who can't go. Do it for the experience. Do it for yourself. On March 22 2017 17:26 BruMeister wrote: Cool! Thank you! It's usually first-come, first-serve. For some events even in recent memory, there was a line forming up to 5 hours prior to the venue opening.

I know the general area of Gangnam where it will be, but nothing precise. Here is a map on the official COEX website, but it there isn't a spot for the auditorium: http://www.coex.co.kr/eng/visitors/directions-map-1 Here is the official webpage for the auditorium: http://www.coex.co.kr/eng/coex-facility-info/auditorium Googling "COEX Auditorium Seoul" gets me this, but this is just a location of the COEX Mall. www.google.co.kr The mall is underground, and easy to get lost in. The auditorium is on the 3rd floor, you should find signs to follow with GSL or whatever on though so it shouldn't be too hard. Assuming it works the same as last year you can go find it early to pick up tickets and then come back later where you have to queue up by ticket number. It's free first come first served and last year some people couldn't get in because it was full but this probably won't be an issue unless you're one of the last to show up.

Also, as a heads up for anyone attending in person, you should start lining up for the tickets at 10am. Like Ansibled said, it's first come first server.

Will definitely try to make it but if it doesn't happen then at least I know I've tried my best to make it happen.

It's in the first paragraph of the news/OP . Makes it more likely that "something" might be announced. Although he's been to a lot of GSLs before I guess.

Edit: in the start post the 26th *is* mentioned as the date for the GSL finals, but the first two paragraphs suggest otherwise: "Blizzard Entertainment is pleased to announce the 'I <3 StarCraft' event — a token of our appreciation for all our passionate fans around the globe — taking place on March 25 live in Korea, the capital of StarCraft. President and CEO Mike Morhaime will be on hand to extend his personal thanks to this amazing community. The event will start at 2:00 p.m., and will include various on- and off-stage activities throughout, as well as a StarCraft: Brood War show match featuring four legendary players. At 7:00 p.m., the Global StarCraft League (GSL) finals will commence, and two of the world's best StarCraft II players will duke it out for the title of GSL Champion."
