Hello Guys!! I have a question! ANY Hardcore Protoss fans out here? :D I just Love the original back story of all the races, especially Toss and Zerg.Thats why my very first sculpture was from SC, out of pure love for the game! I'll post a picture as a reminder of how it looks. (btw) this was done several years ago.
Since this was my first step in sculpting, the figure has tons of imperfections and flows. Well much have changed since then. This time It will be much MUCH better! I want to make a cast/mold out of this because creating it in SuperSculpey is good only for a Prototype.
I really REALLY want to make something from StarCraft univers again and I've been thinking about an Ancient Protoss Tribe, before they looked like well now. all gold and bulky. Any ideas? Any suggestions?
This Is a quick concept sketch I've made yesterday in AutodeskSketchbook Pro on my cellphone. Its sloppy but You'll get the idea. :D
I like the pose and I like the idea of more ancient looking armour but perhaps some of You have something in mind that would make this future sculpture even better?
Perhaps some of you have access to some early Blizzard concept art like this one? Thats really inspiring!

Thanks! And If you think you have a good idea regarding this sculpture topic, please PM me and describe what you have in mind! :D Or hit me up on FaceBook fanpage: Elenem.Sculpting
THANKS! ^^

Ancient Protoss wouldn't have any tech. A good source for information about ancient protoss right after their creation by the Xel'Naga is the Dark Templar Saga series of novels. They actually give recounts in the book, with descriptions of surroundings and the body types and clothing worn by the different, still warring (Set during the Aeon of Strife) Protoss tribes.
Here's a bit of a synopsis (I can't find on the internet direct quotes from the books, so you may have to read through them to get all the details you need for your sculpture or to get some starting points if you want to try and theory craft backwards)
Jacob Jefferson Ramsey (known as Jake to his friends) is an archaeologist, a respected but unimportant job. Ramsey relived the memories of Temlaa, assistant to Savassan. Savassan restored the sanity of the protoss at the end of the Aeon of Strife, eliminating old tribal hatred and who later become the Khas. Khas ("He Who Brings Order") was the protoss credited with ending the Aeon of Strife by creating the Khala psionic philosophy.
The book even goes over the exact moment when the Xel'Naga leave the Protoss and abandon them, and all the emotions that everyone is feeling which lead to the beginning of Aeon of Strife. It's quite interesting, if you're a fan of lore and the Protoss.
This is all taken directly from the Starcraft Wikia, http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Khas#Biography and http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/StarCraft:_The_Dark_Templar_Saga:_Firstborn.
