It seems like most wcs player just moved up 1 rank and got seeded accordingly(#1 wcs vs #8kr, 2#wcs vs #7kr etc.). For some reason Drogo, Elazer and Violet seem to be on the wrong spot though. Like e.g. Dark as #1kr should be playing vs #8 wcs(drogo) but instead he plays vs violet who is #6 now with the new seeding. Seems a bit odd to seed everyone based on the wcs ranking except for 3 players. Good catch, something is wrong.

Polt knew that he could only leave if he had a successor to the title of "Captain America," and now that a worth successor has arisen, he can forego is mantle in order to continue his life. That being said, I'm really sad that Hydra and now Polt have had to forfeit their spots. Even though Polt wasn't as dominant as he has been in the past, and he hasn't been playing as well online, he'd always risen to the challenge of Blizzcon. haha ayyy

This really sucks though as there's now only 2 terrans left in Blizzcon. Between this and the bad time zone and usually huge technical issues I might just watch some vods. I hope Drogo practices like a madman coming weeks.

Seems a bit odd to seed everyone based on the wcs ranking except for 3 players. You are correct. The seeding is not traditional all the way through. Here are the groups as they stand now: + Show Spoiler + A B C D It seems they have seeded the groups by interleaving the Korea and WCS seeds so that the average seed of both groups stays the same, alternating korea wcs wcs korea, and wcs korea korea wcs. Here are the seeds that those groups represent: + Show Spoiler + 1 #1 korea dark As you can see, it all goes well according to the formula until the 11th seed, which should be #6 wcs (violet) but instead is #7 korea (dear). Almost all of the seeds from 11 to 16 do not follow the pattern, which also causes #8 wcs (ptitdrogo) not to be in the same group as #1 korea as we would expect. Here are the seeds corrected to follow the pattern set by seeds 1-10: + Show Spoiler + 1 #1 korea dark Lastly, below are the groups that these seeds would produce: + Show Spoiler + A B C D I can only assume there were some scheduling issues that prevented them from making the seeding completely traditional.

Polt forfeited his blizzcon spot because the tournament isn't important to him. he's been pissed off by balance since lotv release, 6 months was required for blizzard to understand that adepts need nerf, and after that they make just -1 damage.

Polt Participation – WCS Global Finals Oct 12, 2016 by Blizzard Esports Blizzard Esports announces today that Choi “Polt” Seong Hun has withdrawn from the WCS Global Finals. Polt was urgently summoned to South Korea to report for compulsory military service, and thus will be unable to compete. We appreciate Polt’s contribution over the years as a fierce competitor in StarCraft II esports and eagerly hope for his return to the competitive scene upon the completion of his military service. With the next highest WCS Circuit point total, Theo “PtitDrogo” Freydiere has been summoned to replace Polt at the WCS Global Finals. In the interest of maintaining fair and competitive group stage brackets, players have been reseeded accordingly, and new groups have been constructed to reflect the new seeding. ----------------- check the link for more info. as well as the schedule for the global playoffs http://wcs.battle.net/sc2/en/articles/polt-participation-wcs-global-finals
