Maybe the broodwar HD rumors will be broodwar remade with high quality Carbot sprites
That's what you get for wishing on a monkey's paw. You get the most feature-rich client out of any competitive game on the market, but the in-game graphics are all in the style of Starcrafts. Would you still play a BW:HD that way?
That'll teach you all to not wish on cursed objects. It's just bad voodoo.
I know 2 people who are coming back to play SC2 with me who both haven't played since HotS because of this mod...
Things like this and the skins Blizzard is planning on selling have the potential to allow them to regain some player base. I hope it works out.
Great work by Carbot - but that is nothing new. Thanks to all who have worked on this, looks beautiful!
edit: will we be able to play this under "arcade" or do we find it under "mod"? i want to be literally playing this as soon as it comes out, which I am hoping will be at midnight ...
Nice mode, it feels that a lot of hardwork and love was put in it. Its funny to read how people are "coming back to sc2" because of it, what a joke actually. However the more the better at this poin.

I'd spend all my time making sure the queens clean up everywhere in my base anyway. Clean between the minerals, sweep behind the extractor, the corners of the spawning pool and so on.

The first game certainly is fun, but it quickly wore off for me. I'm too old and too serious I guess
Still, kudos to everyone involved, incredible job, I think I still have to see all the animations -I laughed so hard when I saw the sieged lib ^^.
On feedback : - maybe try to make the police more readable, one just can't read the chat - the colors are very bright -as expected- but for me it was a bit too much, after two games my eyes were nearly crying
Otherwise as I said pretty impressive work, even though that's not for me.

yeah the 3v3 aspect makes it hard to find games with players of your level and even rather hard to simply find games (had to wait ~10 min to play the first one on EU, but can't tell if that was the download or the wait ; the second one went much more smoothly).
I hope Blizzard can cooporate with them to integrate this mod as a real extension that works for ladder and multiplayer games. Anyone who load this mod will have carbot style in game, while his opponent stays the same.
I'm glad they finished this. My friend found an earlier version like a month or two back and we were pretty pumped to play it but it only had hatch tech/zealot stalker/marine marauder so that was a little disappointing. Will have to try out the finished product
Hmmm I'm trying to play but I keep getting stuck in "Entering Lobby". I doesn't seem to want to download at all. Very annoying, I was so looking forward to playing this

For me it started downloading only after few minutes.

Yes, even after 2AM, getting a full 3v3 was not a problem. Search for "star crafts" (with space) in Arcade.

I doubt it. It's an arcade map, not a mod in the sense that u can apply it to any map, let alone replays. For that the creator will have to draw every texture and doodad, and possibly more stuff to make it useable as an applyable mod.
I have been streaming this mod for 2 hours and it was really fun in the beginning. But the mod becomes boring very fast :
1)The **** font is insanely annoying, you can't chat with your allies or your opponents 2)3vs3 on small maps is basically zerglings/marines/adepts all games (so you can't see all the other fun things of this mod) 3) The graphics look much better than the original but It is a lot more difficult to micro properly some units because of the animations.
1) the font is almost unreadable 2. Only 3v3? That really blows, no 1v1 support hurts me :/ 3. They could have left out some of the adorable yet bad for gameplay animations 4. It's fun as fuck

I think the #1 priority is to adjust the font. Making it much less bold would be in a good direction, or just keep the SC2 default fonts.
I have a really girly handwritten font in my WoW UI, but i leave tooltips, chat, quest tracker, and other more "system" fonts default because those are important and deserve to be mostly legible. + Show Spoiler +
I think the buildings should look more square to be able to see things a little clearer. Some of the units overlap eachother a bit too much when clumped.
few minor things i noticed: -we need the shadowing when units or workers are behind buildings. -the liberator zone (currently white circle), is very hard to see on those bright kind of maps. maybe change the color... -creep tumors doesnt show properly on ramps. - 3v3 map is way to small (everybody just has 1 expansion)
overall i can highly recommend this mod if those minor things will get patched.

u can 1v1 if you start up a own lobby instead of joining games... u can open the lobby to public then to find opponents...
I don't get it... tried to find the mod in Custom > Mod, and Arcade. No luck so far. Besides, is it really possible to play 1v1? For example, me vs IA?
I think it is under arcade. It is a 3v3 map, but definitely possible to play 1v1 or 1vAI.
Just make sure you click 'create game' (and not join game) in the arcade menu, That will create a new lobby for yourself. Then you add any number of AI players or invite friends to set up whatever game type you want.
