sad no balance map at all but glad they are actively working on co-op. I hope they prioritize more maps since one map per patch will get devoured instantly.

Archon is strictly premade teams only as for now, and who really wants to play this with randoms...

Coop is cool because you can find a New teammate and eventually you gotta find someone you enjoy playing with.

I can see that happening for Archon mode and those players you play with probably is into 1v1 as well

If Blizzard wants to keep people playing sc2, honestly, why not add Alarak? Abathur? Tychus or even Moebius corps?

Well, there's also Heroes of the Storm, and some restrictions on heroes and hero powers since their mechanics must be tied to the RTS game. Hero is not everything. So they'll possibly add 3-4 heroes per faction and it will be done, also considering the limited map pool of Coops.

Glad they're not doing a balance patch yet. Far too much whining about balance for less than a month of gameplay and very few professional matches being played.


Kind of wish they'd fix the Solarite bug in the Master Archives. There are workarounds, but it was somewhat annoying to have to manually reset it so often.

The built in voice chat might get some mileage if they did that... I've never used it. I don't see why it would be an issue. Playing with a troll or someone way below your skill level would be frustrating but that's true of any team game.

Nice to see Blizz still updating Co-op and chat features. It's not a big update, but lets the community know Blizz is still improving the game. For Co-op heroes, I'd like to see Alarak and Mira Han added.

The one update I really really want is new maps for team games. I play 3v3 almost exclusively and the current maps are kinda bad. Bring on the community maps please.

Balance updates haven't been mentioned in patches for 2 years now. Balance updates don't need a patch anymore to be applied but instead require just a map update, and as such are not mentioned in patch notes.

considering how little RTS games make its nice to see Blizzard trying to collect as much cash as possible. its single player content that is keeping the only other viable auto-match RTS game alive: CoH2.

Did they fix APM to match real time rather than old Blizzard time? Only just played one game but had ridiculous high APM while it didn't feel anything like that. Would be nice if someone could try and confirm. They wanted to change it anyways, maybe they just forgot it in the patch notes.

Karax is fun with the Purifier Sentries and Carriers, but all his units (except Probes) are so dang expensive even though they're pretty much on par with other Protoss commander's units until upgrades kick in. The new map is fun and surprisingly challenging even on easy, especially with how few units that Karax can get out in the early game. It'll be interesting how the map is handled on harder difficulties.

I hope Blizzard keeps up this steady pace of a map and commander every month or two.

I dream about seeing some patch notes that would tell me about improving SC2 engine (hope this would happen thank to Heroes) along with enabling me to choose OpenGL over DirectX & having a Linux port available.

I agree (sadly). However - MacOS version uses OpenGL already and is Unix based, so maybe... maybe there is a slight chance in a future with more *nix players out there (thank to Valve's expansion toward Linux gaming).

So - I hate to be a whiner but - is it really outside the possibilities of modern technology to allow replays to be watched that aren't of the same patch without logging off / watch them with another person? Even if all the utility within the replay was gone - just a view option - it would be nice?? Anybody? Help pls ;p

Man Karax is a nightmare. I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out the optimal strats/builds for each hero on each map against each race, and starting from the bottom with Karax just seems almost impossible on Brutal (which is where I started with every hero). I think it's really just the expense of the units- though the Spear's abilities are unbelievably good, especially if you practice placement and lining up good shots. I'm curious to see how much the upgrades influence his strength in the early game as I go along. For now- definitely excited for new hero, just frustrating to have to manage strangely expensive/seemingly average units.

As you can see above, the MacOS kernel is not entirely (or even at all) based on Unix. It does have (heavily modified) components of FreeBSD Which is a fork of the BSD which is Unix based, but to say the XNU kernel is based on Unix would be an error.

In the end I think that the development cost for Blizzard to port any of the current games to Linux is just too much seeing as even though Valve is trying to push Linux gaming, it still is a tiny fraction of the gamers that use Linux. And while a certain percentage currently uses dual boot, and would love to go pure Linux, as long as they don't "make a fist" against needing to dual boot and just stop playing non supported games, nothing will change.

I can't believe there are people actually grinding for the levels in co-op. There is so little there to be explored and be worthwhile for the grind. someone should make an arcade map with all the hero leveled up. the grind is completely pointless.

Of course Blizzard isnt even thinking about balancing this disaster of a game. Could be another 6months before we get more map editor changes and another year and a half before ravagers become fair.

The APM change is nice, but i think there might be other UI elements that needs to be updated too. For example, replays still shows ~1800 mineral income for 3base economy, which just should not be right with current time.

since they start to charge money for commander they have the motivation to keep pushing new contents.
Adding cool new modes for free and charge for commanders seems horribly moba like system...Not a big fan of micro transaction but if it is what it takes to keep starcraft alive I'm perfectly fine with it.
