spear of adun's temporal field ability comes in handy as well, and if you get unlucky with seeker missile hits just reload a save the story so far is really cool, and the dialogues are way better than in wol or hots, really liking the campaign :o fenix coming back as a robot is a cool idea and gives even more opportonities for pseudo-philosophy talk, i just dont like the model they put him in, looks like robocop on four legs

Did it via master archives (accidentally left it on brutal instead of hard), and while it was quite difficult, as soon as you take down the bases the mission becomes a cakewalk. Very certain I had destroyed everything on brutal, to the point where I sent a Phoenix around the map to scour fog of war - nothing left. On hard I got the achievement as soon as the last building in the second base fell (though I may have already destroyed everything else on the map at that point). I noticed the same thing on the 2nd mission where you have to kill the hatchery within 6 minutes

I had to load over and over and bait out the missiles or they will wipe the HP from all your phoenixes at once. The probes immediately start to rebuild pylons in the bases as soon as you leave. They come in from other bases or from having run away from a fight and just start building up again in a sneaky fashion. If you go back to the base(s), you'd probably find them dropping pylons trying to rebuild. It is definitely possible on brutal though, but those little bastards are sneaky.

Here's my brutal playthrough I also managed to get the mastery achievement the same way. Actually even better with DTs + solar lance to take out the protoss base on the left first: :D Here's my guide/playthrough for the mastery achievement
