Please use this thread to discuss the fifth level of the LotV campaign, "Brothers in Arms". This is the second Korhal mission. Clearly mark spoilers using the spoiler tag. Plot events that occurred in the prologue or Missions 1-4 do not need to be spoilered. Please spoiler plot events from Missions 6-8 which can be played before this mission.

Feel free to use this thread to ask any simple questions you might have about the mission, or for tips/help/advice on completing the mission.

now that was a really cool mission, and rather difficult on brutal

i think dragoon/immo is the way to go, and never lose too much of your army on an attack

I found this surprisingly easy. Taking the second base really early really helps. I was using all Nerzim units (so Centurians/Stalkers). Stalker/Centurian/Immo just face rolled everything.

The last Protoss Mission in the original starcraft will be in my heart forever for that dual race mechanic. So cool...

As for this mission, played it on hard and tried to get all the achievements, so I moved really slow towards the artifact (only at night, to get the achievement). I promptly ran out of resources on both bases before I cleaned out the forces around the artifact, but was able to destroy the artifact stone with the leftover probes... a close victory (and I missed one of the achievements because of it, Hybrids were running wild in the end because I couldn't build units anymore).

Anyone got the achievement for this mission? Destroy 55 enemy structures in a single disruption on Hard? I'm ballparking here but I don't think I'm getting many more than 30-40.

Here is what I did. I got up to 200/200 of immortals (minus workers on both bases). Afterwards, towards the middle of the map, there are no buildings and not many units. I waited there with my army until Terrans got disrupted, then I split my immortals into four groups. 2 small ones (~5 immortals) cleared both pathways to the keystone and the other two headed towards the main enemy base on both northern and southern entrances. I was able to get all 55 buildings destroyed that way along with the waves of hybrids.

I really really really need the soundtrack that played during the Raynor/Artanis cutscene (Warrior's Fate). That was amazing.

Thanks for this, I didn't think to split my units in 4 groups. I kept trying to do it with just 2. Serves me right for being negligent on my micro.

This was pretty easy but it took me forever to wear the enemy down on brutal. I just massed up a bunch of those respawning DT's and kept throwing them at the base.

Thanks for the tip. Not destroying their forward bases is smart, to get 55 you need to get nearly every building. My 200/200 immortal army looked fun with /dance
