YoDa, B4, Gerrard arrested for match-fixing - Page 30

Based on the official Police investigation, only the above players have been implicated in matchfixing. There is no reason to further accuse other players and teams until we get more information. Incessant blind accusations will not be tolerated. Please read the thread and the updates before posting.

As of page 54 we will be moderating against match fixing accusations for players who were not caught in this incident, including those using voided Pinnacle bets as evidence.

Gerrad was in debt.

Wow Kespa.

Yeah, KeSPA is certainly responsible somehow. In other sports, teams finances are verified by the organizer? Loos like KeSPA didn't give a fuck about Prime's situation.

In most sports teams finances are left up almost entirely if not entirely to the team.

I don't know much about other countries in fact but in France the leagues are very strict towards the teams who don't manage to have a balanced budget. There are regularly cases of teams relegated down 1 or 2 divisions because they failed.

Having said this, I have no sympathy for Gerrard in the slightest. I want to believe that Yoda was naive and pushed into this position, but there's no point in wishful thinking or speculating. Kids should have stuck with GSTL.

That's the big one. Maru got poached which was devastating and when Zoun started to show promise SKT was like "OH HELL NO" and I love skt...

Apparently Gerrard ended up knee deep in debt trying to run the team without sponsor. He had already borrowed so much money from relatives and friends. Still doesn't justify what he just did to the Esports community though

True, but I'm sure some people are going to think that Gerrard was therefore justified... he wasn't.

I was just using a (prevalent) example of how your attitude could seemingly be summed up by:

Match fixing isn't happening. Well, ok, not much. Ok, well it isn't that big a deal. Oh, well it can't be stopped so can we stop talking about this?

Nothing justifies matchfixing. Not when it affected so much only 5 years ago. Actually releasing the team would have been a better decision. Now, Gerrard just ruined not just his life, but YoDa's, Creator's, and all the SC2 scene.

*edit* everyone else said this while I was slowly typing it up

The whole korean sc2 scene is to blame. When there are people WORKING pretty much 24/7 for no money except when they do well, then these things are bound to happen.

It is pretty strange behaviour to repeat the same sarcastic remarks several times and then argue with people about them.

"Corrupted his players" easy there

He's responsible for them and was meant to be looking out for their best interests, not offering them criminal opportunities in the team house.

RIP Prime. They should've just disbanded and Kespa would've got another team or shrink the team league?
