Based on the official Police investigation, only the above players have been implicated in matchfixing. There is no reason to further accuse other players and teams until we get more information. Incessant blind accusations will not be tolerated. Please read the thread and the updates before posting. As of page 54 we will be moderating against match fixing accusations for players who were not caught in this incident, including those using voided Pinnacle bets as evidence. |

If no one suffers consequences of match fixing, MATCH FIXING WILL CONTINUE. Do you not give any shits at all about the integrity of your sport? Eh, all sports already have no integrity, get a better argument If no sports have integrity, then you should be fine with every single match being match fixed, right? Pot kettle kettle pot. Being fine with something, and knowing it cant be changed are 2 very different things
Because there will always be match fixing, we should not do everything in our power to curb its prevalence?

Is there a word for feeling disappointed that something bad didn't happen even though you were dreading the bad thing happening? Some sort of masochistic shadenfreud or whatever?

He was in debt. He had no good sponsors that could provide him with sufficient income. He had no money to keep the team in operation. In order to keep the team running, he had to scrounge money from relatives and close friends around him.
Is that the official reason he gave?

people with lack of character will always cheat for money, it can never be fixed pure.Wasted, it's just a crime like stealing or w/e

It is sad though, prime had a chance last season until their roster got poached, it doesn't excuse it but you can see why.

If you had time I'd recommend going through the rest of this thread and read his comments. Half of them are categorically stating that MKP didn't match fix. Don't try talking to allegorical ostriches.

They should have known something was going on. Either they were intentionally ignorant or worse.

If you're in debt you just disband ffs... there are other options besides crime

The truth hurts dont it?

Yeah, KeSPA is certainly responsible somehow. In other sports, teams finances are verified by the organizer? Loos like KeSPA didn't give a fuck about Prime's situation.

When you're in the situation you don't exactly think straight

In most sports teams finances are left up almost entirely if not entirely to the team.

Does anyone else feel like KeSPA shares a minor portion of the blame for not giving Prime the adequate support that it was promised, and allowing its roster to be picked by every other team with money? Any scumbag (like some coach who prioritizes and puts more effort into the development of his girlfriend over his team) would do stupid things like this when at the end of his rope.
Having said this, I have no sympathy for Gerrard in the slightest. I want to believe that Yoda was naive and pushed into this position, but there's no point in wishful thinking or speculating. Kids should have stuck with GSTL.
*edit* everyone else said this while I was slowly typing it up

Wow feel bad for Gerrard now.

I had Yoda on my fpl for a while so I followed his matches a little bit. His match against Shine on Overgrowth was a really big throw which I'm almost sure he intentionally threw looking back on. I feel bad for Prime fans, it's almost comical how things have gone from bad to worse over the last few years for them.
