How do you feel about bringing for the victory for the match?
When the season first started off, our team’s goal was to head to the finals as first. But little by little, things just didn’t go our way. So now we’re starting off our goal from the Postseason Playoffs. But I think we’re gladder about the result because we were able to take down our opponents one level at a time.
You are currently on an eight game winning streak for playoffs.
There are no weak opponents in the postseason so I focused even harder. Our team’s chances of winning only get higher if I can grab wins for us so that’s why I worked so hard. I felt that I kept on taking down the aces of each team we faced so I put a lot of meaning into each of my games.
You pulled off a comeback victory in your match against ByuL.
I felt that I was at a disadvantage, so the only thing I could think of at the moment was just blocking my opponent’s attack. I think that mindset ended up working out well because I suddenly had the advantage the second I shut down his hydra aggression.
How do you feel about going to the grand finals?
I’m glad, but just like last time when we won against KT, it just means we got one more victory. We haven’t won the championship yet so we can’t allow ourselves to relax.
Anyone you want to face for the finals?
Everyone on SKT is a good player. So it’s just going to be a plus for us regardless of who we beat.
You get to participate in BlizzCon as well.
I really wanted to attend BlizzCon no matter what, so I decided to go to DH. But as soon as my spot in BlizzCon was set, I worried about the playoffs again. I kept thinking that I couldn’t allow the team to fall on my count, so I am so relieved that I was able to win.
What kind of score are you anticipating for the finals?
It’s the finals so of course it’s going to be a 4-3 finish, no? And of course, the victor will be us.
The finals location will be at Lotte World.
It’s been a long time since I last went so I think I’m going to feel good about going there.
Anything else you would like to say?
We were able to win with a score of 2-0, but honestly, the obstacle to overcome was yesterday. We were only able to win 2-0 because Rogue won the ace match for us. We have only one more match remaining, and I want us to win that so that we can feel an even bigger joy. I am grateful to the fans and to my parents for cheering me on. I also want to give thanks to the Jin Air Corporation for supporting us so much. This time around, everyone worked really hard. But as we worked hard, we didn’t allow the atmosphere to get gloomy and continued to practice in a bright and happy atmosphere, so that was good. I want to make sure we continue this kind of feeling all the way to the finals. Lastly, I want to thank the supervisor and the coach.
