Don't like him or watch him, and I sure as hell don't listen to him. I also didn't find his games to be entertaining when I used to watch him.
But regardless, I hope he doesn't have anything too major going on. It's never good to wish bad things on someone, even if I don't like him.

Hope he's okay, but I'm sure glad that StarNaN is going to DH instead of Nani.

Nani's biggest problem was and is that he folds under the pressure of being considered the best. He'd rather forfeit than disappoint. It's admirable, but I have to wonder if it's really the best for him to isolate himself from the fans.

Naniwa played like shit in WCS. He looked terribly out of practice.

I can respect his decision to stay home, practice, and get on top of his game before trying to compete again. Especially because I really do enjoy watching him play.

For anyone wondering why nani is stressed, years of playing ud vs orc will leave you with nightmares for the rest of your life (not kidding). I cry everytime i match grubby or violet on sc2 and im sure nani does too. 300! 300! 300! Atleast Rotterdam had the decency to go farseer.

(for those unfamiliar with wc3 ud vs orc was 27 vs 73% in pro games and nani was a UD.)

Why are people so negative towards Naniwa? He is one of the best foreigners ever to play sc2 and his only fault is that he doesn't act like a pre-programmed PR machine for an order of sc2 monks. The "worst" things he did were always when he was forced by someone else into a stupid situation (drone rush, IEM) and he is visibly trying to do better. So what the fuck is the problem with some people?

I love it when people consider that "acting like an immature kid" = "not being a pre-programmed PR machine". As for your question, well, there's this strange behavior in the community that players who either balance whine when not at the good timing (see Rain's "terran is BLinfestor"), or always find excuses for losing (see Huk), or display rage/BM behavior in tournaments (see Idra), or insult opponents in game or on twitter (see FireCake), or simply are popular (see Flash, Jaedong, Zest), or simply have a strong personality (PartinG, MC, Stephano) are way more mocked and hated on than other players. NaNiwa cumulating all of the above...
