Saying MLG, IPL, IEM are tier 1 same as GSL is like a joke. Is like saying that wimbledon (in tennis) is the same as shangai masters because all the good players compete in both. Formats are different, pressure is different, preparation, etc. Winning WCS global finals, Hot6ix cup and IEM worldchampionship. Plus reaching WCS global final and GSL semis is way more important than winning 2 MLG, Dreamhack and IPL, plus reaching GSL finals (and losing against jkajji =/) | ||

People like Jaedong, Dear and Soulkey would belong on that list. Mvp was well past his prime when he played Life in the GSL finals. Nobody had even expected him to make his fourth final months earlier when he beat Squirtle because his injuries had stunted his game so much. Consider also that the series was played during a point in time when TvZ was completely broken and that Mvp still somehow pushed it all the way to game 7. | ||
