The "discussion" was embarrassing, which is why it was closed. Everything that could be said has been said, and if new information comes to light that might warrant a thread. Until then, there is nothing to be gained by having a thread dedicated to a massive circular argument on TL.

The fact that TL is stifling discussion about ongoing matchfixing in SC2 is what's embarassing. The importance of the issue in and of itself warrants a thread, period. But I guess TL wants it quiet just like Blizzard and KeSPA.

Yeah TL is part of a massive conspiracy to cover this all up. If only they had allowed some people on this forum to keep saying the same thing over and over again/make baseless accusations then we would have all the answers about match fixing for sure!

That was a cool straw man but I still fail to see how closing discussion on arguably the most important issue facing the game is better in the long run.

The "discussion" was uncivilized, hateful, respectless, and ultimately pointless as everything that needed to be said was said. There was nothing wrong with closing that thread. The discussion ran its course far before the thread was closed.

I will now throw argumentative buzzwords at you! Straw man! Ad hominem! Logical fallacies! Wake up sheeple!

No actually he used a straw man. I can tell you about lots of threads on TL that have not much direction and heated internet arguments. That doesn't necessarily mean a discussion should not be happening, considering it's an exaggeration to say that every post was a circle jerk.

How can MKF be #11 in front of soO 4 times GSL finalist in a row i'm going to say it again 4 GSLs final in a row.
And don't bring me his MLG runs, Dear back to back GSL WCS was far more impressive and he isn't top 10 i can bet you that. MKF is by far the most overrated player of all time, he has less premiers than many foreigner and his GSL "run" are just terrible he beat a bunch of nobody just by controling his units better and all ining more on stepp of war.
Also MVP has 3 GSL not four and MKF two finals one looking foolish and MVP bitch
GSL World championship was less of a GSL than IPL 5 by far

Of course the era matters if not Chamberlain and his 50points/game would be consider the greatest ever.

Maru should be higher I don't know were nestea is but Maru should be around that level, way above "no GSL no skill" Taeja (shots fired)

I agree with Leenock and DRG though

Saying that TaeJa is "no skill" player is so unfair - it's just different skill to win GSL and to win weekend tournament. NesTea never excelled in the latter, TaeJa in the former.

I should have put a shot fired tag sorry of course Taeja is great top 5 izi, probably #3 behind mvp (had he won 1 GSL I would have put him above mvp) and life so many premiers wins, series wins over the greatest players and a lot of ro8/ro4 GSL runs but no WCS no GSL should put him behind life and mvp

it's not even like taeja ever did badly in gsl. he jsut didn't make it all the way and almost always went out agaisnt the eventual winner of the tournament.

in their hate for liquid bias people just want to overlook how great a player taeja is/was. for 3 years he consistently beat the top of the top, and more often than not he beat them decisively. only very few players like Life or piggod even have a positive winrate against taeja. denying that he is one of the three overall best players of the world and one of the most accomplished is jsut foolish.

Aren't like (T)dreamertt, (P)Pigbaby and (T)Flash the only players who never lost a series vs TaeJa in an offline tournament? TaeJa has dem solid winrates.

ah, i wasn't sure. i remembered that Life was taeja's kryptonite back in 2012, but taeja won more during life's downtime. i thought recent times might've brought life back to a positive winratio.

Maru should be higher I don't know were nestea is but Maru should be around that level, way above "no GSL no skill" Taeja

I agree with Leenock and DRG though

Saying that TaeJa is "no skill" player is so unfair - it's just different skill to win GSL and to win weekend tournament. NesTea never excelled in the latter, TaeJa in the former.

it's not even like taeja ever did badly in gsl. he jsut didn't make it all the way and almost always went out agaisnt the eventual winner of the tournament.

in their hate for liquid bias people just want to overlook how great a player taeja is/was. for 3 years he consistently beat the top of the top, and more often than not he beat them decisively. only very few players like Life or piggod even have a positive winrate against taeja. denying that he is one of the three overall best players of the world and one of the most accomplished is jsut foolish.

In terms of all time Taeja is 29-20 against Life.

Aren't like (T)dreamertt, (P)Pigbaby and (T)Flash the only players who never lost a series vs TaeJa in an offline tournament? TaeJa has dem solid winrates.

So what you're saying is Flash is the Greatest of All Time in SC2 as well.

No Flash is the guy you call if TaeJa tries to make a comeback in SC2 from his quasi-retirement and you want to get rid of him .

soO way too low. Needs to be top 10 at least. 4 GSL finals is more impressive than just about any other accomplishment I can think of.

How about winning 4 GSL finals?

Just kidding, but maybe wait until you see stuchiu's reasoning for the top 10 players before deciding whether you disagree? Maybe he'll bring up something that'll make you reconsider. That's like the main reason I'm not posting my opinion, I'm giddy to see the other parts of this list. T_T
