Matchfixing is a very serious offence and accusations of matchfixing should not be made lightly. Please avoid making accusations against specific individuals unless you have substantial proof, or until further information is released. (0620 KST)

I really doubt they have zero evidence, maybe they're displaying some kinda evidence to KeSPA and don't want to make it public before KeSPA knows? We'll just have to wait. If they don't have any then you are right of course.

It's completely different stories.
EffOrt and Hydra were accused apparently by Coach Park without any evidence, so there was just black cat between them.

Pinnacle is respected though, so it's not cool.
Even though, i don't see how T1 player can be involved in it, with oov even saying that he won't talk to Bisu at all if he plays showmatches against saviOr and San throwing intentionally seems random. Hope for best things ofc.

Dark is obviously not involved. If he was involved he could have just told San to go nexus first and 9-pooled him or something like that.

Where are people getting the idea that there is no evidence? Pinnacle clearly has plenty of it, line movements can tell you quite a bit.

It's not like there are million bets on esports, so it's not same level of evidence as in real sports.

Why would Dark be involved if San's the supposed thrower?
Cogito, ergo toss.

The only viable proof is actual transactions and chat logs imo. You can look at any game and point at both players' mistakes and say "he did that on purpose!". Because mistakes are made in heaps every day in the world of starcraft; nothing fishy about that necessarily, since that's how you lose any game, not just the ones you throw...

This is true. That said, Pinnacle isn't in the business of playing Referee for KeSPA, they're in the business of protecting their customers. If they have a strong, strong suspicion that the game was rigged, they do the "right" thing by making sure no one loses money on an unethical match.

Seriously, stay calm.

For now this is just a betting site without evidences, and a random dude with way too few evidences.

because a random site is not paying the bets and throws shit against san?

Based on some of the responses in this thread, this isn't a random site?

the only guy saying that has less than 10 posts...

the priority of san is to play in foreigner tournaments and his team cares really little about proleague.

on the other hand dark the priority of dark is to make skt happy, and this is winning games in the proleague.

An example: http://www.sportdw.com/2014/08/how-to-fix-tennis-match-by-boy.html

This is no evidence, because it could theorically happen without match fixing. This just suggests that there is something, and thus an investigation should begin. But it's not guilty until proven innocent, it's the opposite, so it'd have been nice if the Twitter guy didn't talk trash at San.

So? What's unbelievable about what I said? It happens reasonably often, actually it happened in the last game of Soulkey vs San in GSL a few days ago...

Do your own research if you don't believe me, bud. Pinnacle shapes the sports betting lines worldwide. Many people make money simply by betting lines at other books that are off from Pinnacle lines because those are considered to be the sharpest lines in the world.

Remember folks, innocent until proven guilty. Right now it's just one site that has yet to produce any actual good explanations for what they are accusing. Kespa hasn't said a peep, and neither has anyone else involved (except for San saying he didn't do anything).

I know this community and the penchant it has for preemptively pulling out torches and pitchforks, but please, just this once, let's take a breather and let this actually get figured out instead of throwing someone under the bus before any evidence has come into play.

I thought that betting sites take % from all winnings. Considering that it wouldn't be profitable for them to cancel the bet. They also refunded all the money. Why would anyone think that this situation is intentional and good for betting site?

what´s going on with all that drama recently?

Instead of wildly speculating, we should wait for concrete evidence or official statements clarifying this. And until proven otherwise, San is innocent.

Amazing how far some peoples' heads are in the sand around here. Soccer and tennis have had huge match-fixing problems for years, and the people involved in those sports make far more than people involved in SC2. If they can be paid off to fix results, pretty easy to figure SC2 players can be as well. If Swoop's estimate for the handle (five figures) is even in the ballpark, how much of that money do you think it would take to get a player to throw one of these games? Ten percent? Could be less, honestly. All San has to do in his hypothetical is one bad blink and he pockets a quick thousand. And the fixers make off with 9k risk free.

Again, Pinnacle wouldn't take action like this unless something was very obviously awry with the betting patterns.
