And as I couldn't find anything close to recent from either googleing or searching on TL.net, I would like to know what's the most used or best graphic setting?
I've known that certain settings were used in the past for tournaments, that some pros intentionally lowers their settings to have a less *Clogged* screen.
But what as of now? Does it actually makes a difference? What setting do you guys use and for what reasons? Thanks for your inputs.

I use low settings because the glare on foxtrot and nimbus is terrible. Also low effects allow u to spot cloaked units easier

I hear some people use low settings to make it easier to spot cloaked units.
Personally I just enjoy the game more with the graphics settings up so I have everything maxed out.

I use ultra cause I have a pc that can do it.

Low settings allow you to see cloaked units better. Ultra settings allow you to see Protoss buildings better.

minor thing but higher graphics settings allow you to see what protoss units are being warped in
so for example warping a dark templar, sentry and zealot, you can differentiate between them so you can focus fire as they warp in
whereas on low setting, all warped in units use the same graphic

I use low everything but high textures, because I want to have the game run as fast as possible but still look somewhat nice. Low textures are painful to my eyes. Still can't get above 30 fps though...

I think this is the biggest thing about higher graphics levels.
Force fields are also easier to see at higher graphics settings.
I also like how units leave some debris when they die. It's not much, but I think it gives a bit of information on what just died which is a bit useful.

I5 2500k @ 4900mhz
8gb memory
2x ati HD6970 crossfire and overclocked.
And I cannot maintain >60fps in big battles at 1920x1080.
I am curious what kind of monster PC you have that allows you to keep your framerate up in big battles.

Why would someone reinvent the wheel, when there are others out there that have created the optimal graphics settings to find a fine line between best gameplay advantages and graphics?
On the same line of your post, you could say that someone should use the build he feels comfortable with, not something others are using.

How? There's a right or wrong in the game of starcraft but not a right or wrong on what appeals to the eye/is most comfortable to play with.

Because different graphics settings literally changes the way some units/buildings are seen.
Low graphics means you care about spotting cloaked units. High graphics means you care about being able to tell apart Protoss warp ins and buildings. Those are both tactical advantages that you can only have by going one way or another--can't have both advantages.

I really think cloaked units are easier to see on maxed settings rather than low 0.o, people like low settings because of simplicity and/or higher fps if your PC isn't that great.

i use high textures and very "special" settings:

reason: my eyes are very sensitive to light, which means that I can't play on bright maps. since I've switched to the full-black settings, my skill kind of skyrocketed, because I suddenly was able to micro properly.
