New experiences might mean "easy money", considering the big competition in Korea, a foreign team souds so much better, especially now that players like Taeja are looking for a retirement soon.

This is like the worst possible timing ever, I wonder is PL going to be able to pull through, they need more teams and more players.

What is happening, Blizzard (soft) region locks WCS and KeSPA players leave their teams to join foreign teams, just wtf :D.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

At this point, I really don't think any of these Koreans who are trying to leave Korea are doing it for the money. If every idiot in a forum thread can immediately say "but why??? There's no money in foreign teams, don't they see that??", I'm pretty certain that the players realize that they're not all going to get some sick salary from EG. Like Parting said in his interview, they're doing it because they want to travel the world while they're still young and meet foreign fans and shit.

Aside from the post above me, I wonder just how much of it is just a cover story for retiring too.

So, considering that TRUE is technically in Dead Pixels, we now have:

DRG
Rain
PartinG
FanTaSy
Hydra

4 Code S playoffs level guys and FanTaSy, who can really get them, lol.
+ There is Myungsik who left KT Rolster as well.

TL won't get anyone until TJ retires most likely, Acer will get probably one and outside of those two, noone really seems legit contender.
YOE FLASH WOLVES FOR THE RESCUE PLEASE.

On less serious note, i hope they're still going to play in SPL.

Don't forget Journey, Ragnarok and I think there's another Korean who is free. Perhaps not Code S level but they're still damn good either way.

So they all waited for Taeja to retire before daring the trip. Smart move.

I think Koreans are just looking at the amount of money to be made playing in the international scene compared to staying in just Korea. MC earned so much money from that, instead of being tied down in Korea / Kespa.

Agreed. Now they don't have to risk facing (and getting knocked out by) TaeJa.

Definitely not, Parting even said 'not everything is about money'. They want the experience, not the money - they can earn more money in one of those Top4 Kespa teams...

Wow look at that list of names who will never reach Code S again. Everyone knows foreign Koreans can't compete in Korea. Failures looking for easy foreign money.

Taeja had plenty of semi finals in the GSL just before leaving for WCS America.I think Taeja still would be Code S level but we can only speculate since he didn't try to rejoin GSL.

This comment is pretty hilarious given how tournaments have looked for the last few months. Flash struggling against MC and Stardust? Check. Solar and Zest both losing to Taeja? Check. San beating Byul into the ground? Check. DRG making the Ro8? Check.

I'd never say that you don't know what you're talking about, but it certainly looks that way.

I guess it's time for A NU START for a lot of these players who are going to switch now that Blizzard is doing region lock. Good luck, guys!

This might be rough for Hydra, he's probably less marketable in the eyes of many foreign teams when stacked up against DRG/the SKT guys. Hopefully it works out for him
