I like how region locking is having the exact opposite of its intended effect

then again, most of these players won't even find foreign teams to play on. and certainly they won't find foreign teams willing to pay them a salary commensurate with what they were making in kespa

i think looking for foreign teams is a good thing, provided there are enough foreign teams who can take korean talent on and provided the korean player helps out the team acting as a new 'practice partner'.

Hydra being very optimistic here
Trap won an MLG and is still teamless
I don't know if people have been telling him stories about foreign land or if this is just him going yolo before military service

What makes you think region lock has anything to do with it? Their contracts are just expiring around this time. It doesn't make sense to say Kespa pro's are leaving their teams because it's become harder to play abroad. If anyhting it suggests they've been planning on leaving for a while and haven't changed their minds with the WCS changes.

WCS 2015: All kespa players leave Korea, in search of that sweet easy foreign money. WCS EU and AM both become as hard as GSL and all foreigners are eliminated immediately. Round of 8 WCS EU: Hydra, Solar, Cure, DRG, Zest, Rain, Parting, MC. WCS AM: soO, Stats, Innovation, TRUE, Maru, sOs, Soulkey, Flash. Meanwhile, only mediocre washouts are left in Korea. Now that GSL is so much less competitive, State, who has still been toiling away in the Prime house makes his first GSL. He becomes the first foreigner to win GSL, royal roading through such titans like SalvatioN, Miso, BrAvO, PenguiN, AnNyeong, and Zoun, before meeting MKP in the finals. He beats MKP so badly that he cries (as expected). However, no one gives his win any weight, as he was too much of a 'coward' to play in the REAL SC2 leagues, WCS AM and EU.

you are a poet

Alternate ending:

soO stays behind in GSL to finally win now that all the good protosses are gone. Still loses to State in the finals.

Thus confirming his statement that all wcs regions are equal and a new age of harmony and peace is seen in the SC2 community..

Except twitch chat..

We still don't talk about twitch chat.

I'm not sure for WHY this is happening, perhaps it's good will, no judging..

BUT

I REAAAAAALLLLY hope that we get to see Proleague.. It's hands-down the best SC2 experience (when not being at work ) - at the highest level, and the games are the top-notch-best-possible quality..

Save Proleague
Another world, another place, another universe, won the race.. :) ;) :P

I can understand that they all want to experience travel to foreign countries and what not, but all these sudden leavers are being wildly optimistic if they believe this is actually a better choice for their progaming careers. Winning bunches of foreign tournaments is NOT as easy as it sounds. Even the machine INnoVation didn't win any, despite coming close several times.
