Well hopefully things work out somehow for the French community, and also hopefully some alternative service comes up and actually truly challenges twitch.

This whole problem is actually on twitch. Why not make an smaller production for french stream in order to keep stream costs low? I am sure everybody is enjoying proffessional streams...but i am pretty sure people still watching when you cut quality in order to offer an french stream. For instance WCS had an russian stream some weeks ago with only 300 peole watching. I guess its okay to start like that...

French people want a great stream, we are the second largest community in Europe, we just want to see a stream with a great quality.

That's the solution right there

They announced some weeks ago that they will put servers in France this year. It has to be done years ago ! Ppl goes where services are better, in France, it's Dailymotion.

this problem will just keep cropping up each year unless Blizzard pre-plans a Blizzcon more than 1 year in advance or they remove the WCS Finals from Blizzcon. Blizzard needs to hand off WCS to an organization that plans and runs competitive leagues 365/24/7. Of course, this will never happen and these issues will continue to be a stumbling block for any independent live event promoters that want to use Starcraft2.

ESL Runs WCS AM/EU GOM runs GSL If you want WCS or GSL schedule you ask those two companies, Blizzard wont know, you do not say Blizzard doesnt know this Blizzard doesnt know that... you're basically asking for kebabs at a burger place... Again ESL runs WCS EU, WCS is contracted to be broadcast on twitch so ESL broadcasts on twitch, if ESL is nice enough to let you restream WCS you're going to have to use twitch, now if twitch pays less in france due to i dunno government tax? whatever... that is neither Blizzard, ESL or even twitches fault, I hope you have asked twitch or ESL if there is a work around of France' twitch problem before giving up and posting this...

Easy ! =>French casters don't want to stream on Twitch because low money. =>Orange and Free (some of the biggest ISPs in France) nerf Twitch connection at certains hours. =>Twitch doesn't want to improve its ad announcer(?) in France because no one use twitch in France. => Dailymotion is owned by Orange. See the issue here?
