Thanks a lot for the translation, Seekeru!
Never in the history of SC2 has there been a player who was the strongest player. Do you feel confident enough to become one?
There has never been a strongest player yet. But I won’t become content with the fact that I won a championship, and I’ll keep working even harder from here on out so I don’t really care. This question puzzles me, seems the interviewer is really uninformed and missed the early time of SC2 and Mvp's dominance back then.

But are they truly b+ Show Spoiler + Not yet one could argue

I contacted Leenock and asked him to translate what 절대 강자 means. It means someone who is the best and cannot lose to anyone. So I believe I accurately translated this question.

So essentially the question is "can you become a bonjwa?"

I think they are referring to someone who is clearly the very very very best in the world over a longer period of time, someone who just doesn't loose at all. Maybe if MVP would have actually won vs Life and MMA we could consider him to be that guy, Taeja lacks results in Korea (aka a GSL trophy) and DRG's reign was fairly short. They are looking for a Boxer, Nada, oov, Savior, Jaedong, Flash kind of guy.
Nice Interview, I hope Zest sticks around as I really want to have that number 1 player everyone is aiming to take down. Soo will probably regret that Yonsu game for the rest of his live as he would have easily won the series if he hadn't messed that one up, I fear that he is mindgamed enough now to never win a championship

Yeah, it's MVP if anyone.

Zest seems cool. Not an awesome personality, but more than most kespa pros. Hopefully when we talk about him from now on we can do it without mentioning Flash

I'm kind of disappointed that they didn't change the trophy more for 2014

Zest is a good player, but, SoO is better. I guess he wins because Protoss OP.

I love the traditional GSL trophy but I feel they should change the colour every now and then, When is the last time you saw a bright red metallic trophy opposed to the boring silver cups in IEM kato

Umm Mvp anyone? He won 4 fucking GSL championships and got 2 second places as well as so many other tournament wins. The guy is the King of Wings for a reason...

Zest won't win anything ever again imo. He got really lucky the way things turned out with IEM being right before the GSL matches. Enjoy it while it lasts KT fans

yay thanks Seeker for the translation!
Zest is so cool. how in hell does he keep calm under such hard circumstances?

I don't know, he feels like a one off, another Seed to me. But I'm a lot less interested in the Korean scene that I ever was, so that might explain that.

The way he was hyped coming into the finals just didn't fit with what I saw during the games. Rain, Parting and herO are better protoss players than Zest imo. I could actually see how well they played in comparison to Zest where it feels like soO gifted him some games (not to take away from his skills though). Either way, time will tell if he's another one time never to be seen again GSL champion or a repeat GSL champion

I want to say it’s because of my confidence in my own skills. Nice dodge by Zest against the interviewer's prodding. Pretty sure they were hoping for a more provocative comment after Zest's implied statement.
