With this he means Terran being imba vs Protoss? Think he means Swarm hosts. But nice subtle balance whine. It isn't balance whine to hate Swarm Hosts from a fun standpoint. It's a boring terribly designed unit. Is the game balanced with it? Sure it is for the most part, but I can be completely sympathetic to Naniwa (and this is one of the only times I can see myself saying this) for being sick and tired of having to deal with Swarm Host turtle bull shit on ladder. Naniwa is totally within his rights here to be unhappy. After dealing with Broodlord/Infestor as a casual player and a spectator I was sick of the game at the end of WoL I can't even imagine how some of the pros felt, it's totally understandable to not want to have a repeat of it. He wasn't whining about swarm hosts. If you read his posts he says "Terran being imba vs Protoss". Really? + Show Spoiler +https://twitter.com/NaNiwaSC2/status/430286992106995713
He cites not having fun anymore with the game and those tweets go back when he was still active. Tell me why Swarm Hosts aren't a contributor? I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT NANIWA. READ THE POST I QUOTED. god dammit...

In terms of foreign hope... well, Bunny and TLO are doing great right now. Snute too! And there are always a host of other decent foreigners who can step their game up when needed... Grubby, Suppy, CatZ, Xeno, Dayshi...
We will survive! And all the best to Nani! That's a really weak list in terms of premier event winnings. You can't draw conclusions based on premier event winnings alone. Foreigner don't win premier events, but that doesn't mean that they are "weak". There are a dozen Korean players that haven't won anything either, but that makes them weak no more than not winning makes Naniwa or anyone on that list weak.
What I'm driving at is there really isn't a HuK, Idra, Jinro, Nani, Stephano etc to root for anymore, which sucks because it's boring to people without that story line.

This is bad

Im very sad about this, my hope is that he is bluffing, but it doesn't seem like a big possibility.

Holy cow...it is his choice for darn sure, but I'll be hoping he gets refocused and starts having fun again because he has had some definite hype moments.

HuK, Idra, Nani and Stephano all gradually fell off in terms of results before calling it quits (well, Huk hasn't). Did they get worse or the competition better? No idea, but I don't they would have won stuff today even if they were in their best shapes. The game is tough.

Naniwa go to the water temple and fight yourself.

This was totally unexpected.
I recall his animosity towards the WCS concept when it was first announced so I wonder if that had anything to do with his displeasure for this game.

People always say story line but I still have no idea what that means.

for some reason, the very good foreigners like to retire(or take a break) t.t hope it doesn't hit scarlett, but i presonally can understand his decision, the game became very very unenjoyable for me as well. sad times, but for now let's see which foreigner will rise next.

Seems like this post from this fanclub is relevant now too:

In any case, Naniwa has always been a player with a lot of out of game distractions, I guess they finally got too much for him (plus his general frustration against Swarm Hosts / infinite Zerg armies, which have really backfired in terms of Blizzard's vision for the unit being to *break* turtles).

I don't like this, is like a soccer player, dunno, let's say Piqué (player frome Spain), he's not the best but he's good, he will never quit playing soccer, i find this decision chilsdish and inmature.

Even though I expected it, hurts to hear him say. As bad to me as when IdrA left.

As an avid hater of the Water Temple I strongly disagree. Swarm Hosts are worse.
