The thing is, i never liked NaNiwa because of his behaviour but respeceted him as player, but this tweet is just disgusting. There are really people that supported him and thats what he says to the people that supported him through the last 3 years. Its kinda sad.

Why do you think you are owed something just because you "support" someone..... He said he doesn't care at all about the community, so why would you think he owes YOU anything lol? So many self-entitled people in this thread who believe they matter or need to be accomodated by pro players. The only thing Naniwa is guilty of is lack of professionalism, but as hes retiring; its pretty irrelevant for him (last day at work mentality).

There was no contract or deal made between you (the fans) and Naniwa (the player), so he is sort of right in what he says. He never asked for anything that his viewers or even fans gave him, so he should not feel obligated to "give them" anything. Obviously, it would be nicer to the community if he played things a bit smoother, but hey, he's done with the game, and this is a nice way to seal his fate with it!

As both an player and a human being. The people who watched, follow and cheered for him are owed at the very least his respect, nothing more, or less.

DUH. like seriously, how dense do you have to be to not even see that. naniwa just digging his own grave further. if i were an employer, i would never hire him for a job either, he has a shit attitude. now stop trying to defend his bitch made behavior. the only disgusting thing here are his actions.

People wonder why the sc2 community is 'negative', well being a long time can of sc2 for 3 years it's so infuriating when you ask for really simple things that can be fixed, such as improved social interaction in the sc2 client, fixing the monstrosity that is the arcade, improved support for ESPORTS, more tools for observers, and you keep hearing excuses for why it can't be done while other newer games blitz into the scene and get it right.

I find the games them self to be the biggest issue. How fun is it to watch PvT nowadays ? The only fun is that terran is the underdog. Also, FF and Timewarp so frustrating to watch, renders micro of the other part useless. I have given up on this game a long time now, but I still have hope that it can be better. Naniwa isn't the first to say that this community is disgusting. I think the community is what it is, because it's a symptom of our fucking frustration with watching the games.

Of course, the game is broken and not as fun to play/ watch like it used to be. And he is mad about this issue. Blizzard doesn't seem to care. Some people annoyed him. He simply exploded. Happens to everyone in life. And everyone who takes his posts from the weekend personally: get over it. Naniwa plays for himself. It's not like the post is something new. Seeing someone explode could even help the community.

Or how schizophrenic the commuity is - not too long ago we were the ones clamoring for small balance changes and letting the meta balance the game, and now...?

Naniwa just wasn't satisfied with the game anymore. And as many here are claiming that he doesn't owe anything to the audience or the community, etc. then I guess Blizzards doesn't owe him anything either. If he doesn't like to play anymore then he should have said goodbye without making himself unpopular.
