Prize pool aside, I think this line up will produce some great games. It's a melting pot of the best KR and EU has to offer.

Jaedong? Dear?

OP should add the qualified players to get a more clear picture: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/IEM_Season_VIII_-_World_Championship

These may be the Groups actually. Because if these were the lineups, wouldn't JYP be after the other Koreans? because at first i thought they were sorting by nationality, but they aren't... hmmm.

IEM open brackets don't play in groups. It should be double elim.

Winner takes all... so epic yet so brutal.

I'm surprised more players aren't participating but maybe the risk is too high.

no korean terran wanted to be a part of the open bracket? so many strong zergs in the open bracket tho... jaedong, hyun, leenock. especially compared to the other protoss and terran. Hasuobs and mana for foreign hopes i guess.

sounds like 90% of all top progamers declined due to "winner takes all".

The Open Bracket is a 16 player double elimination tournament. So no, these are obviously no groups.

Edit: Please keep in mind that players in the Open Bracket have to pay for their trip to Poland plus hotel costs and whatever else. Having that in mind actually makes this Open Bracket-lineup surprisingly great.

Except 90% of the top progamers tried qualifying in the region qualifiers so that statement is very misleading. Traveling to Poland to play in an open qualifier in a winner take all championship is more risky, but obviously a lot of players wanted a chance to come because the region qualifiers were completely stacked, especially the korean qualifier.

I think this tournament is guna be so much fun to watch, and I'll be happy for whoever wins the 100k and sad for the runner up who misses out on it all it's definitely going to change someone's life for the better though and that's a good thing. I am hoping that it isn't someone who already has won tons of prize money in their career though like Jaedong or MC, but i'm very excited to see how this turns out

I'll hop on the Scoobers hype train!
We need a catch phrase for his fans to chant...
Gogo Scoobs, he can't lose..!
I know I'm bad at catch phrases..
Scoobers will turn his opponents into losers!

I was hoping to see ForGG as one of the terrans...
The terran lineup certainly doesn't look promising.
Good think we already have Polt, Jjakji and Taeja in the tournament.
