It's losing practice time in exchange for a neat experience. Aka not worth it. And herO is the best player on a bad team. . please

It's losing practice time in exchange for a neat experience. Aka not worth it. Isn't that an odd thing to say when five IEM Katowice participants play in Proleague, with two of them (sOs and Rogue) seeing heavy rotation for a team that is semi-realistically gunning for the top spot? And herO is the best player on a bad team. All of them will miss at least one Proleague match, if not two (because of travel time/lack of time to prepare). Or does "good Korean team" mean only teams who didn't have players qualify? Of those 5, only sOs and herO are surprising. They are the only ones needed by their team, the others are players who come off the bench. Useful, yes, but not entirely necessary. I wouldn't be surprised if one of both of these players decided later not to attend, especially with how crucial their PL matches are right now. Also, sOs was invited, and herO is qualified through IEM Singapore, neither through the KR qualifiers. As for the other guy who quoted me: Yes, I'm saying that playing an international weekend tournament hurts a players PL practice, and it hurts the teams PL practice too.

Can you imagine if Jaedong plays Naniwa in the final? I would wager over 100k would watch that, easily. I can't legitimately come up with a good reason for winner-take-all, besides what I just mentioned. It's one of those situations where they did it, because they can. Really unfortunate for the players, but systems are in place (WCS) that distribute better.

Jaedong vs Naniwa final would get 100k on the stream regardless of the prize money lol of course this is a marketing ploy, but the result of the open bracket players shows us how IEM failed with this one
