StarTale doesn't need luck to win a league that has Prime in it
yeah I mean look at all those team league titles they've won the in the past
I'm looking at Prime's championships and all I see are players that aren't on the team anymore
but hey I guess your rookies going 1-14 is a sign of great things to come
I don't see how Prime's players leaving has anything to do with Startale having no titles oh wait they managed to win 1 IGN team league. I guess that's a nice consolation but it's also kind of funny because it was completely won in the finals by PartinG and Squirtle, 2 players that aren't even on their roster anymore as you pointed out with prime
also it's not like ST really adds much to the IM roster. The only players that have a chance at making an impact are Curious and Life through ZvZ. Maybe Curious in all kill to snipe terrans. ST doesn't have the same powerhouse terrans and protoss that they used to have
ST has (had) as many players in Code S as IM. Losing Bomber really sucks but 4 Code S players and Hack is a pretty good all-round lineup in its own right
individual league success doesn't necessarily correlate to team league success and vice versa. Startale limped through the last season of GSTL and many of their players have faltered in team leagues throughout their careers.
I mean sure, players change over time and can get better or worse but let's just look at some of them from the last season of GSTL
I still think this team is inferior to KT and SKT1... Zest comes huge in PL, and props to the KT staff for recognising this in advance. Although he did flop, he - not Flash or TY - was sent out as the ace versus Jinair.
All things being said, I'm still a Khan fan - my boy roro going from strength to strength, and mark my words (Really going out on a limb here) - Stork will come good. Just give him 2 years or so... he's already amazing at actual fights like the broodwarer of old, he just needs to work on his general macro game and mind-games aspect.
That's awesome for the players, I wonder how Startale is looking financially. Is IM about to become some kind of gigantic superteam? Only way this could have been better is if Bomber was still on Startale

I'm still tired of these type of partnerships. Join on your own boys.
It was this or wait until next season (which might not be until a year from now, if at all). Given that Red Bull's sponsorship of StarTale is less significant now than it was and that GSTL is dead, you can't exactly fault them for it.

IM did alright this past round, although I guess it's debatable whether or not having HerO on their roster detracts from that. StarTale would get absolutely obliterated on the other hand...
As for the IM/ST partnership, it certainly helps to have a deeper roster of players to field, and I also hope that all of them practicing together will help both teams regain at least some of their former glory. It's gonna be tough though, that's for sure.
