And even proleague doesn't have its former prestige with no Taeja, Innovation, Dear, or Jaedong.
lol that's the exact thing Boxer worked so hard to prevent.

I really hope SC2 doesn't move towards this direction because it will make it much much harder for new players to break into the scene. That being said, I'm definitely buying a redbull sometime this week and doing a full ladder session! Why would being personally sponsored make it harder for new players to get into the scene?

I like Red Bull They really did a great job 2013 with him.

In theory if individual sponsorships became the norm it would be more difficult for new players because they would have no bearing in getting signed. With teams you could afford to sign a few players who might not have a good ROI and still make money because all you'd need is one good player. An individual signing means that person has to perform or you've lost money.

Good for bomber, Red Bull has put a ton of money into the Starcraft scene and esports in general I really hope they do continue since the amount of tournaments that are being put on that are drawing big numbers are falling. Yes MLG had a tournament but for 5k they announced a 60k tournament for Dota 2 and Dreamhack made a studio but not for Starcraft and if you specifically look at the growth rate of Dota 2 and the size of LOL no investor that is going to be marketing computers or keyboards for example is going to put money into Starcraft 2 when they will get a much bigger return by putting the same amount of money into Dota 2 or LOL tournaments because much more people will see the ad and therefore it will produce more sales. I know its off topic but yeah..

Well, eSF did just announce that they're disbanding. And since Startale is really the only noteworthy team left that was part of eSF, people were worried about what might happen to Startale and Bomber. So, this is just reassuring everyone that Bomber will still be going strong in 2014 ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
On a side note, I'm so conflicted as to which energy drink I should buy. Monster, or Red Bull??? They're both good and they both help esports... WHAT DO I DO?!?!

i'll keep mixing my vodka and gin with redbull if they keep sponsoring bomber

I'm gonna get out and buy a box of Red Bull to celebrate this personal sponsorship. Also I think it's a great decision, since Bomber's such a charismatic personality and with quite solid playing.

Rebull gives you wings. A monster gives you 160mg of caffeine per can. Your pick (; And fair enough, I just feel like this "good news" is nothing special. But I like bomber, and I guess good news in a sea of bad news doesn't hurt.
But seriously, they are both good, support both and don't buy Rockstar, Ballz, etc.

There was uncertainty about whether he join a team or if RedBull would support him. This officially announces that he is no longer a free agent.

Don't know how I feel about this. Redbull pulls out of ST and in return only sponsors Bomber... something smells fishy.

I kinda knew it, but I'm still very happy for it! Woo~

By your logic redbull should drop formula1 and should only sponsor Football(soccer)

I bet they sponsor the WNBA too. Hell that company has its own damn space program.
Kinda makes you wonder just how cheap to produce Red Bull is since they have so much $$$$ to burn

they are not burning their money, its marketing and strengthening the brand, thats how they get their revenue, cauz u see redbull everywhere, why should u buy redbull if there are 100 other brands that are cheaper than redbull, cauz u buy for the name
