|
Great news!, I hope we get to see some Leenock vs Life series :D.
|
Thus begins the Yoe Flash Wolves killing streak
|
So no KT Leenock ...well gl to all!

Why Check and Daisy? Cheap? Much, Much better koreans out there, no offense to those players. Leenock to Yoe is more like it.. better investment than Check and Daisy

Great! Very good players list!
|
I'm getting a bit of a retro, Speed Racer vibe from that hair/uniform combo. Nevertheless, happy for Leenock!
|
I think Leenock not joining a bigger team will let a lot of fans down, but I'm not going to shit on it - grats to Leenock and the Wolves ^_^

Wait, does that mean Daisy is now moving to Taiwan? Wow, that guy is moving all over the world, hope he likes it there!
|
is leenock moving to Taiwan? I really hope not... there's nothing there for him... GSL is way more important.
edit: unless the taiwanese teams (wayi and yoe) gang up to form a joint team for proleague then thumbs up... otherwise NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... please don't leave korea leenock

the article for Check and Daisy is on Yahoo TW E-sport section. I will translate a little from the article
(full article here: http://tw.sports.yahoo.com/news/華義spider職業電競隊-scii戰隊再添新戰力-033711547.html)
Rough translation Check is introduced as an ex Team 8 player, a zerg player full of mystery who managed to beat top Terran player - Parting (LOL I am sure they got it wrong here) Made his name in his IEM NY games where he took down skilled opponents like DRG and Parting. His ex team mate, (now jinair) TRUE also approve of his talent. He is going to face Sen on 30/1, and he is confident in his ZvZ even if the opponent is Sen. TRUE has given Check some advices how to beat Sen as they are friends.
Nothing much for Daisy, he is an ex-WW Toss player who stayed in Europe. His high tournament attendance rate and very passionate personality has earned him many fans/friends including Suppy and San. he is also planning to visit some famous part of Taiwan after knowing Taiwan from a TV program
Coach DUS also gave some words: The whole search for talent was a tiring process, we have been searching for 3 months, 5 different teams and more than 30 players. Originally we wanted to recruit a terran because the scene is not having enough of them, but after taking in factors such as team management and candidate's skill level, we have moved to searching for hidden talents. Check and Daisy are the candidiates I believe to have solid skill level and great room for improvement. Hoping these two players will show great performances for the taiwan audience.

Quick translation on Leenock "I bet everyone is wondering who our 2nd Korean player is. We are very happy to announce that Leenock signed with Yoe Flash Wolves today, making him a official member of our team. we are currently preparing for the interviews of the Korean press.
In the following press conference we will of course properly introduce Leenock to our fans.
Be very excited for the future!"

congrats to all the players on finding teams!

wow big moves, I wish the tesl broadcasts were easier to catch

Gotta admit, I was hoping Leenock would join one of PL teams.

I`m glad that they found new teams. On the other hand it is quite saddening to see that western teams are unwilling to bolster their squads.

actually thinking about it, I wonder since now you can go from qualifiers to championship in 1 season, will Leenock switch to WCS EU or AM after season 1. San on FW already plays in WCS EU. Daisy was in EU as well and Check plays in WCS AM

Flash Wolves are going to be a tough team now that they have leenock and san!

I'd imagine that would depend in a big way on how Leenock performs in code S this season. If he gets knocked out in the RO32, I wouldn't be surprised if he tried switching

Not entirely sure if it is still the case cause he hasn't answered me yet but I think it is.

This is awesome i'm glad to see more great players joining the Taiwanese scene

Unusual picks by all 3 players, even more so for Leenock considering I'm sure almost every Kespa team would be willing to get him. I'm looking forward to see how things work out with them there. The Taiwan scene seems rather strong.

Hi guys, yoeFWBreAKer here. This news was all posted while I was asleep last night.
For all those of you who are just now reading this post here are the details I must stress to you: *Wayi spider is backed by a game company. *Flash Wolves is backed by *Right now there is no way for a pro gamer to obtain an athlete's visa in Taiwan. *All foreigners who have entered Taiwan to compete in TeSL (including yoeFWSan) have used visitor visas. Visitor visas require a competitor to leave within 90 days of entering the country unless they are studying at a university in Taiwan (in which case they leave within 90 days of the end of the semester). *Presently there is no way to cast TeSL in English with a live, in-game observer position (although that may change this summer, and I will to my best to provide it for you guys.).

How can you guys quote BreAKerTV without asking him who Flash Wolves is backed by?

Leenock is going to Taiwan in April or after the first season of GSL to play in tesl

!!! Leenock :D
such a sick pick-up for WW
Also, huh, it's awesome to see the Tawainese community branching out to Korean players!

Is Flash Wolves that team that also have San? I thought the TeSL was essentially over, is there still a big SC2 scene in Taiwan after that loss?

TeSL is just no longer a team league, it's an individual league now, and more regular than ever. It's even giving out WCS points in 2014.
Yes, Flash Wolves have San and Leenock, as well as basically all of the best Taiwanese players except Sen. Apparently they were taken over by a pretty big corporation (Wanin Bank - it says mothafuckin BANK, not sure exactly what they are though) so they they're well off.
|
On January 29 2014 06:21 Greendotz wrote: Is Flash Wolves that team that also have San? I thought the TeSL was essentially over, is there still a big SC2 scene in Taiwan after that loss? Well according to my translator (shoutout to kupon3ss) Leenock is expected to go to Taiwan in April/May to play in TeSL so doesn't seem that dead.

On January 29 2014 04:15 AlternativeEgo wrote: How can you guys quote BreAKerTV without asking him who Flash Wolves is backed by?
Yoe Flash Wolves is backed by Wanin International. Their Chinese website is the following: http://www.waninbank.com.tw/About.aspx
There is "bank" in the url (and I think liquidpedia called it Wanin Bank) but it is not really one of those traditional banks. It is a company specialized in cloud service and internet transaction in Taiwan. Yoe Card "遊e卡" is actually a popular game point card that the company sells and they tagged it to the pro-teams they sponsors. Pretty smart move I think.

I'd argue you are ignorant for saying otherwise. I invite them to prove me wrong, but if we go with the facts.. the facts would support my argument that they are not a reliable investment and surely don't have as much potential/results as many other koreans who are looking for teams.
Daisy has 47% winrate according to his TL profile, and most of his career has been in Europe which means weaker competition than the koreans. Check is better with a 53% wr and mostly korean tournaments but thats not incredibly impressive. We also haven't seen great results from Daisy at any point really, and Check not for since earlier GSL days.
In short, I just don't see it. Idk why I even respond to you, but I felt like it.
