General
  • Many unit sizes reduced.
  • Some hotkey bugs fixed (I know banelings still don't work)
  • Lot's of other bugs fixed, won't list them all here.


Terran
  • Wraith added. Cost: 150/100, 120 life, speed 4 and 2x10 explosive damage vs air and 8 normal damage vs ground. Only needs Starport but has cloak upgrade on tech-lab.
  • Spider mines now have a less overkill.
  • SC2 nuke added
  • Viking hp and cost increased, missiles follow but "miss" (think BW valk). Can still land. They now cost 3 supply and require both armory and tech-lab to make.
  • Merc's now slow down their non-massive enemy target WHILE they grapple on to it (not after). The whole slow only lasts for 0.5 seconds. This helps them get the shot off when they land.
  • New dropship model added.
  • Reapers now require fusion core to be made. Their stats has been tweaked and are the same as the old upgraded reaper. The upgrade has been removed. Reaper G-4 charges now only take 2 seconds before detonation.


Protoss
  • Split observer upgrades.
  • Pylon energy field now crosses cliffs.
  • Dark Archon mind control now works on workers.


Zerg
  • Infestor removed
  • Viper on lair tech with Ensnare, Infested terrans, Spawn broodlings and contaminate/infest.
  • Contaminate/Infest costs 50 energy, and contaminates an energy structure if it has more than 33% life left (not shields). If it has less than 33% life, then it will become under permanent zerg control where the zerg player will be able to build whatever unit the building can make with the tech tree available for the zerg player. There are currently some bugs with this ability that we will fix later.
  • Overlords can pick up spines/spores and they can also move into nydus worms.
  • Ensnare missiles speed increased (from earlier small patch)
  • Guardians +2 range.
  • Ultralisk cargo size reduced to 4.
  • Queens no longer move slowly off creep.
  • Banelings now benefit from upgrades. +2 attack per melee upgrade level. It was reported that it did not worked, but I tested it on the testmap and it works there, so it will work on this patch as well. Baneling weapon display is still not working


Maps
  • Widened chokes on many maps (from an earlier change).
  • Garden doodad fixed.
  • Longinus 10 patches fixed. (Thanks Teddy!)
  • Two 2v2 maps added. Katherine Square and Avalanche
  • Fastest possible map uploaded.
  • Archon 2v2 or 3v3 version of Fighting Spirit is up thanks to RedRookLord! Search for "Starbow (Archon mode) - Fighting Spirit" on the arcade.


Won't have too many explanations yet as I don't have that much time right now.

But I want to reassure any infestor fans out there that we will test different versions of the infestor for next test-map and if we find something we like, it will return.

Unit sizes is another thing that might change later. Right now units ACT very small but look bigger (although they still look quite small). This MAY give the unintended effect of "blobs" and may also lead to instances of players having a hard time seeing exactly how many units are attacking etc. We will try these size for now as it is very good in other aspects such as getting the desired effect from splash weapons and spells. We will keep an eye on this so let us know how the unit sizes feel after some games playing with them. It probably takes a while to get used to them, so please, play more than one game before posting about how it feels.

And as usual. Some of these changes are better tested than others, but with our limited player pool I feel we can get the feedback we need to make quick adjustment if needed without messing up too much. Hopefully...

Probably not worth fixing until unit sizes are finalised, but UI size needs to be reduced to keep it consistent. Maybe reduce the bar height size at the same time?

Unit priorities in groups seem too be off. Depending on what is selected last, i.e. marine + vulture or vulture + marine.

hype died down, people moved on.

I played it recently and it and they've changed it so much that it plays almost exactly like SC2BW along with BW's flaws, literally every stat identical. tot very interested in it anymore, initially it seemed a much more "daring" mod that tried to improve on things.

starbow has its moment, Battle Royale for Arma/H1Z1 got huge.. mods are still doing okay, ofc it's always been rare for one to blow up

No they arent. I cannot host a game and no automatic matchmaking makes it hard for me to play.

Well i have to correct my statement. They are better if you are able to configure your router and therefore being able to host.
