Kind of interesting, actually. 2 raxing in game 7 of the GSL finals: no risk, no reward. The gambit and the response says just as much about the personality and playstyle of Mvp and MKP as it does Nestea and Squirtle. Oh, and to all the people saying how upset they were when Squirtle botched game 7, I felt similarly when Mvp botched game 7 against Life.

No one has failed an all-in to only force it to work with an ambush in a g7 of the biggest GSL Finals of the year. Mvp is the embodiment of victory. This, I thought there were a few games in that series that qualified as "very good" and one epic map-split in game 5...but that game 7 is for me, the most memorable game in Starcraft 2 history. Not only did MVP win with a failed proxy barracks rush, he won despite Squirtle making the brilliant move of killing a bunch of his SCVs with a scouting probe, denying MVP of what little income he had. Plus it wasn't long, but every single second of the match was filled with intense micro and incredible pressure. The greatest series of all time, no doubt.

Starcraft has never been as exciting as game 7 between Mvp and Squirtle, and I am so happy Mvp won it all. Fantastic to see.

If you were just to tell someone "Oh yeah, the best sc2 player is MVP" the other person would be like "Well yeah, but what was his nickname???"

Game 7 Mvp - Squirtle, made of pure dream materials... Oh and that Jjakji - Leenock finals... I remember that great article by Fionn? "His name is Jjakji, and he is ready to make you remember his name". Such a good call ! ![]() (I don't know/remember if Fionn's friend actually bought him dinner for a month though!)

However, my all time favorite is without a doubt MMA vs DRG because of game 7. The back and forth of that game, the final, climatic battle, the excitement in Artosis and Tasteless' voice, the music, it all meshed together in a storyline that was so beautiful its almost hard to believe it wasn't scripted. Every now and again I watch the final moments and every now and then I shed a couple of tears because of how beautiful it all was.

Squirtle's mental mistakes when he needed to be most clutch really devalues the most important game of the series for me. Obviously MVP's storyline was incredible and nearly single-handedly overcomes Squirtle's fail. Conversely, MMA and DRG made their mental mistakes earlier. Game 7 in that series was both players going all out, making no obvious blunders, (I disagree with DRG's strategic choices but given how active the entire game was, it's understandable), and featured two titans reaching their primes.
