Then what did we have? Zergs grossly dominating the scene (how many straight ZvZ finals in WoL did we end up with?) because Infestor Broodlord was WAY too easy to get to. But since HotS came out, things became more entertaining. Now you have this mindgame of "is Terran X going to go CC first? And if so, will it be high ground or low ground?! And if low ground, will Zerg Y go for an early pool?!?!" Then you have the Terrans that open Reaper expands often enough that Zerg opens Hatch first. And the Terran does his cute micro with the Reaper against 4 lings. Then you see ForGG's Reaper destroy people who don't get 6 lings apparently. lol But in all seriousness, I miss the days where super early expands are legitimately crazy and easily punishable. But the current meta is too bad either. At this point, you can't nerf Queens back because it'll greatly hinder the Zerg's ability to defend early Reapers and their early third.

I wish they wouldn't have organized it that way, would have made a much better series if there was at least a week or two between the GSL finals and the Blizzcon finals. MMA got off easy ![]() Nahh, MMA had just beaten MVP at another online tournament (twice in 2 bo5s btw). MMA would've just crushed face anyways.

i really think it was the best TVT ever played at that moment, not even the player or the crowd, but the pure quality of games the whole game was far more back and forth and intense than the 4:1 score

It was a great moment, but everything great about it was peripheral to the game itself. A "great game" should be great on it's own, even if you watch it as a replay. How would G7 of Mvp/Squirtle look as a replay?

The storyline of both players, the Blizzard Cup tournament story, the finals, the almost-comeback from an 0-3. And that final game. Damn straight. MMA and DRG already had a rivalry going prior to the Blizzcup Finals, and that finals just cemented that rivalry.

Game 5 though, man I thought that game was just stupidly over-the-top and embarrassing.
