It doesn't matter how good or bad your team treats you, as long as you're in it, you do not pull a totalbiscuit. Well if I still had the twitch chat open I could have scrolled up and posted a screenshot of him saying "nono eg good team" as well, but he stopped streaming and I didn't have a need to keep it open.
Oh well, I just hope they make a clear cut then and everyone's gonna have fun.

There's a large difference between something like "they are terribly disorganized" and "they are trash team".

I'm curious as to why they let Revival go yet players like Machine and Thorzain are still on the team. I know for example Incontrol is still on EG because he's more of a personality/host/caster these days, so he obviously represents EG well, but what the fuck does Machine and Thorzain do for the team these days. Clearly they don't bring in a lot of money.

this thread seems to have been totally sidetracked by the screenshot of revival supposedly insulting EG while still on the team. but that's the sort of language i use about my employer, where i really don't mind them ("they treat me like shit") etc. it's just a figure of speech really, nothing to really read deeply into his persona imo

Revival is apparantly very unlikeable.

And he was considering retirement before EG picked him up for PL. I am afraid that we might lose him if he does not find a new home in the near future. :/

i'm so confused on why that tweet shows alive is moving teams. he still has EG in his twitter name, is he not allowed to skype people?

When was Jaehoon better than Turn or Ssak? I cannot recall.

Because Lake is the CEO of Complexity, why would aLive just want to skype the CEO of another esports organisation otherwise?
I wish Axiom had the space and money for aLive, it would be nice to see him compete in the GSTL again.

Because aLive has been in contact with him before. IIRC aLive and Heart were stuck in America after an event because they forgot their passports and they stayed at Lake's house. With Heart being on coL at the time and aLive being good friends with Heart (and ex-teammates from when they were both on TSL), they became acquainted with each other. I wouldn't read too much into the tweet.

I hope he finds a new team quickly! It's sad to see him go, but I'm sure EG is putting most of their korean-zerg support into JD.

Not too sad to see him leave EG, his salary of $400-$500 a month seems pretty justified for a caliber of player like him. A korean player with such poor results should feel pretty honored to receive so many opportunities to travel to events. Hope this means EG might pick a new Korean player. Let's go EG! What makes you think hes not a nice guy? Thats a shitty salary if its true. I wonder how many Koreans are getting ripped off without knowing it. Just from reading previous interviews with him it's the kind of impression I have. I don't have any specific examples, but I remember "don't cheer for this guy" in my head for whatever reasons he erks me - even though overall I like EG. What kind of salaries do you expect players get? I agree, 6k is pretty poor. But how many players do you think get paid more than 20k a year? I'd say less than 30 in SC2 (likely closer to 10-15). And Revival in my eyes is definitely out of Top 30. Edit: Only 28 players in SC2 have earned over 30k in 2013. EG players get to keep all their winnings. Revival has made 32k. So Revival's yearly earnings are 38k a year. Is that bad? Not very sustainable in a First World country... But seems to be above reasonable based on his level of skill. (Ranked 101 ELO based on TLPD?).
Hold up. 38k a year isn't "sustainable in a First World Country"?
Maybe not if you have a family to support or severe health issues. But that should be more than enough for the typically young, healthy, and single sc2 players. Not to mention having housing covered because of training houses.
I shudder to imagine what you think of the living conditions of grad students in first world countries.

I can confirm that as well. I was in the chat with kimdaekyung and Elite_ at the same time when this was asked.

Well that sucks for both parties, really.
But maybe EG will be able to pick up some more players.
