I'm not necessarily saying that JD is better than Soulkey or some shit, but it's undeniable that he has performed extremely well this year. This is quite the weird analogy (i hope you guys know about football lol), but its just like Atletico de Madrid winning the UEFA Euro League, its quite the achievement, but that team should be playing the Champions league, where the teams are better

Even then, I think it's for the best that the game has no definitive "best" player. It shows that the game has a deep pool of top class players that are contending at peak levels, which for us provide the best possible matches and the greatest variation in meta. Some people might enjoy having a singular overlord dominating a scene, but I think this is healthier over all.
