...but I'm done watching unless I find out later that BoxeR wins or makes it to the finals. The way it's looking now though, Sangmin is 100% going to the finals and the other one will probably be Yooyoung.

So the S2 folks did also have gatherings as well, and even Junghyun attended. Wonder if they were joined by the S1 contestants. And it looked like both Jiwon and Yooyoung did not attend the gathering(s)...

Truly peeved by Yohwan. Should have left him for dead much earlier. Now I wish Yohwan will NOT win it...which means I can only pin my hopes on Junghyun now.

Rooting for Sangmin. Hope that Yooyoung doesn't eliminated early. Even if her behaviour is questionable, she's nice to look at. Boxer second place pls. I am glad that Hongchul has stopped being annoying. He atleast has shown some integrity. . The politician is so pitiable and likeable at the same time. Jiwon, pls say Goodbye,

I'll probably watch this show through, but the show has lost a lot of its color... Just hope next season is better... with a cast that acutally does something

Let's start off with the deathmatch. Deathmatch was the one Sangmin lost in last week, except with a new twist. In the beginning, they don't show all the tiles, so you have to reveal tiles from the start of the game.... There's like 16 or more tiles I think, idk, can't rewatch the boring ep again. And Hongchul started on the 8th tile, so pretty much he has like 1/16 chance to unveil the next tile. He can go waste all 8 of his chances revealing like half the board, and not getting his next tile. So the old man starts with 10 tiles till death, reveals like 1 new tile max, without progressing at all, and wins by the luck of Hongchul not revealing any of the tiles he needs. No real strategy or "genius" involved. Hongchul moves forward 1 tile the whole match and loses cuz he couldn't find his next tile by luck. What a bs deathmatch.

Main match was also a bore. It felt like every1 just brute forcing the matches, which it was. Without Jinho's outside of the box thinking, it was just Sangmin/Yooyoung using their chips/garnets to get a low # to win. No like legit strategy involved, and every1 else just taking garnets/chips knowing they wouldn't win, and just taking what they could. But no1 really maximized their potential gains because of greed. Only old man benefited a lot and got like 18 garnets. Pretty much, Junhyung just stopped Sangmin's flow of cash spending, and went to the deathmatch for it.

Why they make the games so bs with factors involving luck and Garnet spending, idk. It's already too late to change the games because of criticism but I think the show needs to change its format to genius play to win games. Even the "individual games" that they talked about, are heavily skewed towards those with garnets, and very very few deathmatches are based on skill anymore.

I think that the best entertainment within the show is provided when they present a game, and the game has a flaw that can be exploited. And when some1 exploits that flaw, people feel like they are watching a "genius" because they used outside of the box thinking that enabled them to abuse that flaw to win the game. Aka, open pass, 5 match game, indian poker(I guess), etc.

With Hong Jinho gone, I feel like the show lost a lot of its spark. Even with Yellow there, the show had a lot of its spark gone compared to the first season. In the first season, it felt like people actually showcased some aspect of skill to win games in some of the games, whereas this season, you really don't see any skill or strategy involved. I mean there is "strategy" technically, but it's not on the level of "genius" that you would expect from the title of the show "The Genius". Might as well call the show Ordinary because that's all you're seeing. You would probably see the same scenarios occuring on the shows happen if you made your mom and dad or your friends played the same games that the people on the show did. And games are mostly based on betrayal, power of numbers, luck, or garnet spending.

The old politician found the trick to the game. Its an unfair game actually. Hongchul only has like 1%- 5% chance of winning from the beginning. Hongchul going first means he must get 3 times right before the politician even needs 1. And if in the process of opening, hongchul gets the politicians, then its back to square 1. So basically hongchul is opening for himself AND the politician AND must open 3 of his without opening 1 the politicians.
