for example,
we have
http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/3475679/1/IIIIIIIIIIII/
he bm'ed vs NaViStrelok on stream (not a lot!)
Our steps:
1)Find him at sc2ranks ( there is a lot ways to do that - for example, search on sc2ranks, sc2gears, etc)
2)Click "Replays with this player"
http://www.sc2ranks.com/character/eu/3475679/IIIIIIIIIIII/replays
3)Check the old replays of this player
The constantly repeating name is a real nickname of this player
here it is!

now we can PM him "hi N" in the chat after the game

Notes:
1)It does not work with accounts that were created with barcode intially
2)Sometimes account does not have replays but almost always ( >95% in top master league ) there are a lot of replays
( sc2ranks is collecting replays from 2010 and uses the b.net id! )
Thats pretty simple and obvious way, but it works pretty well and nobody uses it!
gl in detecting

maybe someone can write a sc2gears plugin? ;D
UPD: moderators please feel free to rename the topic to "Detecting barcodes" and correcting some grammar mistakes, ill really appreciate it
