OMG, they basically disbanded every single proleague player beside sOs and Soulkey.. IDK if those "nonames" are as good to support such a success though.. I presume they are younger players too, so probably investing into new youth squad, and have some doubts whether this isn't triggered by financial problems behind, which certainly is a matter of concern for the scene overall..

About the Korean faction though - actually - I think that the Korean scene shouldn't shrink, but instead it should get another Prime Tournament like the Dreamhack for EU currently is, and suddenly we might see some more of the Korean-region Koreans have chances in WCS from the actual Korean region, while leaving some space for the foreigners that haven't yet proven as good to have more chances overall..

While speaking of this I also hope that there will be more and better representatives (especially Terran) from the foreigners as well..

Prima tournaments don't exist because there are too many professional players.. How do you get another prime tournament if the market isn't there?

Well TBH I thought that It was we're seeing the same guys over and over again because there weren't many of them, as well as they were going for spot in the other WCS regions cause of easier competition instead of financial problems while being in Korea.. Guess you're right though
Another world, another place, another universe, won the race.. :) ;) :P

Sad for the players, hope they're not in a difficult position. But selfishly, I so want Zero to play Broodwar again. He has a score to settle with Jangbi!

Whether you do or not doesn't change the way it is. He is right, and it counts, because this isn't about personal opinions.

Or would it be okay for me to tell you that it will never go back there because BW is long gone and SC2 doesn't count anyway?

SC2 is the legacy of BW, it is the next chapter. LoL is just a display of how much people love easy shit and team games.

Lmao. You can say the same thing about SC2, and many people would. Opinions like that are just useless. But hey, the topic had to go there at some point, I guess it's inevitable in threads like these.

SC2 elitism is such a pointless concept.

Yeah cause SC2 is so hard compared to BW right? Christ i've stopped myself from replying to these kinds of comments, but most people that write stuff like you just did act as if they were B- on Iccup in BW cause everything else compared to SC is so easy.

According to fomos, the released 6 WJS players, Free, Zero, Bravo, Organ, Aria, Habin, have to find a KeSPA team in two weeks. After that they will not be able to join any KeSPA team. They can still join ESF and foreign teams or retire after that.

There are only two players left: Soulkey and sOs. This situation makes Woongjin Stars unable to participate in the next SPL. Soulkey will be supported mainly by sponsors. But sOs is still in the phase of negotiation.

One secretary at WJS: "we are unable to maintain the players' salary request. We cannot continue. This time we released 6 players and we hope they can join the teams they want."

WJS will not disband directly. Coach Lee will lead the team with Soulkey, sOs, and 1-2 trainees.

Then why did kespa bother to transition to sc2 at all? It hasn't helped them one bit. They barely supported the transition, they are now cutting and destroying teams including core players who are still in the gsl, the players seemed to have preferred bw, it had enough fans in korea to be sustained. Why? Why get peoples hopes up only to destroy the entire scene a year later? I wanted the transition to happen, but not if this is the result.
