Has anyone seen the groups yet or has there been an announcement?

lol I know. It can't be that hard to come up with brackets....

It's pretty unfair to the players and even fans to not know the groups this close to the finals...

Two conspiracy theories on opposite sides:
-NASL is scared the players will collude to help those jostling for a spot at Blizzcon. If they know the brackets and with 15 of 16 Korean players, they may try to rig the results to make an all-Korean Blizzcon and "let" Dear and soO win.
-NASL wants Naniwa to get into Blizzcon and they think Dear, soO, and Oz are more preparation-oriented players than spontaneous players, so they want to make things as hyped up and spontaneous as possible to mess with them and make it more likely that they don't get far enough to knock Naniwa out (which is semifinals, iirc).
Most likely, they're just not releasing the brackets because some of the players are still traveling and they want everyone to see it and start practicing for their specific opponents at the same time, most likely in Toronto.

Clearly the delay is due to NASL flying in NaNiwa covertly so he can hand-pick the groups himself. Dear/soO/Jaedong/MMA group incoming.

I don't know if NaNiwa would like a VortiX/Oz/soO/Dear group, actually. On one hand, two would get knocked out right away, on the other hand, I figure he's more worried about Dear and soO than VortiX and Oz, so he'd want the first two playing the hardest opponents possible.
According to Aligulac at least, it looks like the two players that have the best chance against Dear and soO are actually rated as Polt (70% chance of beating soO, 74% chance of beating Dear) and MMA.(71% chance of beating soO, 66% chance of beating Dear).

Damn, not the best draw for naniwa...
In terms of likely results, the best possible scenario that I can actually believe would happen is imo
Group A:
Soulkey (1)
Polt (2)
Group B
Jaedong (1)
MMA (2)
Group C
Dear (1)
Oz (2)
Group D
Maru (1)
soO (2)
At this point, if we do the obvious AvsB CvsD
Soulkey vs. MMA
Jaedong vs. Polt
Dear vs. soO
Maru vs. Oz
Main focus on the last two matches... the first one forces somebody to be ahead of naniwa, and then we have to hope to god Maru crushes Oz, and that naniwa can either beat revival at blizzcon, or revival loses his challenger league (likely won't happen).

HerO could get through his group. If he does get second and all the other results match up, Nani makes it. Or Duckdeuk beats out soO, or Byul does, or...
I would say this is way to volotile to talk about a bad draw for nani.

With Dear, Vortix and Oz in the same group at least one of them will be out of the race for the final 16, no? If HerO goes through it means two of them are out, correct?

But do bear in mind that HerO has kind of mental block against Oz and Dear has sOs' coaching sometimes (granted i think he will not this time) so they both have pretty good chance against HerO.

Not really. Group A will eliminate 2 good players that could take out others that are fighting nani, basically players we want to cheer for killing each other Same with group B, as Trap/Genius chances of winning the whole thing are very low imo. Group C is one of the worst draws possible. VortiX is instant loss and hero's PvP looked awful against Oz, Dear and Oz (two that we need to lose badly) are essential guarantees in the Ro8 Group D looks extremely easy for soO, he will make quick work of ByuL and duckdeok.
With this draw, I give it probably an 80% chance that the 3 biggest treats to naniwa will make it out effortlessly to the Ro8. There is no real threat against them in their groups, while A and B are staked as sh*t with players that could help naniwa by making it far killing each other.
