WCS Europe wrapped up its Challenger League for Season 2, determining the last four group winners and finalizing the Season 3 Premier League Roster.  ForGG,  FireCake, KrasS, and  Genius were able to grab the final four spots, with MaNa, Beastyqt, Tefel, and AlaStOr missing the cut.

3rd place remains in Challenger League.
4th place eliminated from Challenger League (must play in Challenger League prelims)

Overall, it was a season that offered several newcomers a chance to shine, while many veterans also lost their foothold in the Premier League. ShoWTimE, Targa, Noname, BlinG, FireCake, and Genius are all first time EU Premier League players, and will look to make the best of their opportunity. On the other hand, several players who were initially season into the Premier League at the start of the year dropped out, with SortOf, DIMAGA, Ret, Bly and MaNa needing to work their way back up from Challenger.

Wow, I totally missed how ShowTime managed to secure himself the top spot in his group. Granted it wasn't (one of) the strongest group, but still mad respect for him! The same goes to KrasS, now we will finally see more non-Protoss Germans in Code S! :D

Wished SortOf and Ret had made it instead of 2 protoss, then the balanced would have been decent.

I'd just wish for Thorzain to provide some entertaining games again. Back in WoL, he was such a great guy, and I really miss him making strong appearances in tournaments.

We are almost out of decent Korean protoss.
Since the wall of lag keeps other races away from the qualifiers we should be fine.

The problem being that the top 8 from last season still get in. So the fact the top 8 was 6 Protoss means the Protoss favouring is not going to end.
However a crap ton of Terrans got in this season and I would be surprised if MMA and mvp weren't up there at the end of the season. So it's not all bad. Zergs just gotta step it up. If FireCake can do it, so can you!

Firecake actually looked reasonably good in his challenger league matches. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if he finished top 16..

If you acctually watched Firecake vs Mana two bo3 games, you would see how Firecake is sick up and coming player. GGs wp man

This just means that there needs to be a 4th WCS Region... That way we don't have to worry about rapid transitions. Think about it: what if Jim had more than just one week's time to prepare for this?

overflow of P, koreans and not only. Old faces going out for the most part (Beastyqt, Strelok, Bly, Ret, Elfi, even AlastOr)

Well, i think that toss train seems to be picking up the momentum and we may end with 20 toss in WCS EuroPvPe next season, should it be in the same format).

Ok man this is totally wrong. Firecake is known because he's been one of the top random player on european ladder, such as Nerchio few years ago. One year ago he has defeat Adel during WCS France, that's one of the first time we saw him offline.
He is also really present on french official bnet sc2 forums.
And well with Stephano retiring a new French zerg coming is like ... Interessant I guess
