Yes you get arrested, then detained while you wait for your trial unless somebody posts bail. Trial comes after that.

On second topic: Well, i think it would hurt Dreamhack more than Russia. If we wanted to boycott russia because of stupid laws we had to boycott almost every country, because almost every country has stupid laws.

You dont exactly have to be convicted to have your life ruined. Just ask dominque Strauss Kahn, head of the IMF and about 80% of the innocent people at Guantanamo who have spent almost a decade in jail fr being in the wrong county at the wrong time.
