Not that I'm not super psyched about T8 getting a sponsorship, but it may not be the savior of sc2 that people think it is. Well, even if that's the case, isn't it awesome that LoL is helping out SC2 aswell now? That shows us that the full incorporation of LoL into KeSPA will bring good opportunities for SC2, too. Yes, I never said this isn't a positive step for sc2 division of T8. However, it goes to show how big LoL has gotten compared to Sc2. My fear is that eventually Sc2 will be demoted to Special Forces status or be abandoned altogether by KeSPA. It is hard to say that Sc2 is growing. Take a harder look. 3rd most played game in PC Bangs. More and more fans showing up to every event, every week. More and more events being broadcasted on TV. Or, you know, keep your eyes closed if you want. Does anyone actually have numbers for SC2? I keep hearing SC2 is dead in Korea or that its getting bigger but no one provides the numbers to back it up. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/JPkWhpk.jpg) That's the PC Bang statistics for the month of June from Gametrics.. BW at #6, SC2 at #19 Same story from Gamenote. What are 6 and 8? LoL and Dota? Read the previous page in this thread.

KESPA should just bring back BW in conjunction with SC2. Once Flash gets better, he can be #1 in two games. lol
Anyway, regardless of the reason behind it, I am glad for Team 8's sponsorship.

JinAir (and by extension Korean Air) delivers yet again.
Too bad they didn't decide to step in the BW times

Hopefully they'll be able to afford a few more players so the core players can have more practice partners to help them with builds and preparations.
It's going to be weird calling them the Green Wings. I've gotten so used to calling them Team 8. =( I imagine it'll be a little like Losira --> Kangho.
And I'm still calling him Losira.
I'm sure I'll come around eventually like I did with Bogus. =P

Excellent news! Congratz to them (especially getting rid of that silly Team 8 name) Sad but expected to see this thread being mainly about the same "Lol vs SC2", "with BW this would not have happened" and "SC2 is dead" non-sense. Ah well, some things never change.

I don't think Dota is on the list? ;o Dota2 hasn't been released in Korea yet. To play Dota2 in Korea, you still have to play through Steam, so PC bang don't have it. Nexon will make a standalone client later.

YHKH 2 seriously more sc2 streamers than bw on afreeca? surprised, i assumed they'd benefit by switching to twitch for the international audience.

I actually stopped taking the PC Bang data seriously after like 2011, South Korea has a stable and developed Internet environment, arguably one of the best in the world, the reason people now play in PC Bang is that they want to play with friends, that's one of the reasons LoL places #1, but with more and more players play at home, plus SC2 isn't really a play-with-your-friends game, it's low presence in PC Bangs is not a surprise. I remember there was a thread talking about a more general video game data in Korea, SC2 is steadily placed in the top 10, the streamer data from Afreeca supports this.
