I tried to watch the GSL recently after a break from sc2 and just couldnt stand the repetative time-wasting comments he interrupts artosis with. you honestly could replace him with a parrot or something and not reduce the quality of the cast. All he does currently is making long drawn out exclamations and say the word "nerd" or do a stupid nasal voice while saying "snarfy" put me off after 3-4 casts after I heard the same one liners over and over and over again. Its a shame he has become such a brand which he is living off (such as day9 to a lesser extent) as it means he has no motivation or need to improve. I also feel abit bad for artosis who has to cover for him, and pretend to ignore his obvious mistakes, or construe them in a positive way. I think I heard the phrase "well we have abit of downtime so.... let me ask you a question" every game for a week before I couldnt stand it anymore
Don't feel bad for Artosis, without Tasteless I don't think he would get paid nearly as much as the pair together. Regardless of what you and others in this thread thing, Tasteless and Artosis are the most successful caster pair in Starcraft right now, to the extent that it's pretty rare for the two to be split up. I'm sure Artosis doesn't mind too much that he gets to travel around with someone he has referenced as his best friend and gets paid more doing so as a pair.
Honestly, I don't really mind Tasteless in the GSL. Yeah, occasionally he reuses terms (a bit tired of sick city), but he is genuinely funny from time to time and Artosis wouldn't sound the same without him (WCS Finals last night was proof of that). He's a colour commentator, and more recently it actually does seem like he knows more about the game, despite TheKefka's accurate portrayal of his go-to phrases.

Kinda agree. I like the playful banter between Tasteless and Artosis, but the former's casting is at once obnoxious and pitiful.

5 casters with day9 and axslav being the best guys for analysis. Hopefully they pair those guys up with the play by play guys. A bit shocked to not see husky because he was like "im gonna do more live events," but its fine as long as they have day9 and Djwheat I am happy.

Incontrol is one of the best and most underrated commentators imo. I really hope MLG has MORE CONTENT in between matches. They should get idra or incontrol to go around and do some fun interviews during the event. Would be amazing!

When was the last time you listened to TB? His vastly improved his game knowledge and fulfills his role as a commentator really well. When paired with an analytic caster like Apollo or Artosis they're easily one of the best caster duos around.

I really don't like Axeltoss, I'm about done watching WCS_America as I don't enjoy him at all.
Would love to see Wolf / Khaldor combo go to some events together. They are the most awkward pair of people together but I have to grown to really enjoy their casting together, almost to the point of preferring them over tastosis.

Honestly, I think Tasteless is one of the best casters is SC2. Sure he isn't the MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE caster out there, but he's extremely funny and makes some of the most hilarious jokes I've ever heard in a SC2 cast. Also he has Artosis to make all those analytical comments and that's why they make a great team, plus Artosis cracks some pretty good jokes himself. I'm extremely disappointed that Tastosis won't be at MLG Anaheim, I would have loved to see them. Tastosis is the best caster duo out there.
