No way e-sports in the west is going to reach the scale of those of Korea (which its scene is also struggling as well), Commentators like Artosis and Tasteless can sit there and tell everybody to support e-sports and SC2 because they can simply find other jobs in the broadcasting field once SC2 is gone, But what about the players? You'll always need a Plan B and Stephano is smart enough to have an exit strategy. esports in korea is not suffering, sc2 is.

216k + over 100k per year for salary, that shouldn't be too bad for a student. Well not enough to pay for med school but still help quite a lot. med school is free in France. it requires learning skills though, and I dont think Stephano has it... I bet his gaming/competitive spirit will put him back into SC, Sooner or later.

Stephano, with excellent hand-to-eye coordination, able to multi-task in high stress, etc. will make a fine surgeon.

I think what he accomplished in SC2 was harder than going through med school in France, he'll be fine ![]() Maybe "harder" isn't the right word because you probably still have to work in med school, but he has the talent at least.

Med school is really hard indeed, but with big amount of work it's ok. Not too surprised, he sayed he wanted to go for med school from the start, and considering the time it takes to complete, he'd better not start too late. The only sad thing is that med school is really intensive, he souldn't really have time to continue playing. In other fields he could have played while school and still beat 80% or foreign players :D.

Call me pessimistic, but I doubt he'll be coming back as a competing player. He'll no doubt still play the game casually.
